The Savannah Bananas adopted a puppy they found in their parking lot

Quick, make a choice: Would you rather live in your favorite fictional universe, or stay in reality? It might seem like a no-brainer, but before you pick, we need to share one major point in reality's favor: The college-league Savannah Bananas found a 7-week-old puppy and now she's part of the team.

Yes, that impossibly adorable puppy exists in real life, and she's a part of a team with a name so good, it seems like it came out of a lost episode of "Arrested Development." Who wouldn't want to live in a world where things like this can happen? The first part of the story is a little sad -- Daisy was left alone in the Bananas' parking lot -- but the ending is definitely happy.
"One of our ticket sales staff found her crying in the parking lot and immediately brought her inside. We cleaned her up a little bit and got her water and puppy formula because she was obviously hungry and dehydrated," said team president Jared Orton. "From there we got her over to the local Humane Society to get a professional evaluation and see if anyone would claim her. We weren't planning on getting a dog, but we knew we would be going back to pick her up and make her a part of the family!"
Now that Daisy's an official member of the team, she has some responsibilities. Mostly, she just makes the world a better place with her presence.
"She loves greeting the fans who come into the office, [she] keeps the staff happy … and of course she takes a bunch of naps," said Orton.
But there might be an illustrious career in her future, according to a Bananas press release. "We aren't sure how big she'll get, so it's hard to say if she'll be able to pick up a bat or just coach first base," said Orton, "but as she grows, she'll be a fixture at the ballpark."
