The Tigers paid tribute to Aretha Franklin by putting her songs in Thursday's game notes
The city of Detroit lost one of its legends on Thursday, as Motown icon Aretha Franklin passed away. The singer was also a familiar face at Comerica Park, where she sang the national anthem at the 2011 American League Championship Series:
It was sad to lose someone whose voice was as incredible as Aretha's, but the Tigers found a clever way to memorialize her -- with the help of her own music:
