Wil Myers joined Matt Kemp as the only two Padres with cycles, and both came at Coors Field
The Padres paid their first visit of the season to Coors Field for a 5-3 win over the Rockies on Monday night, and something happened in the game that has only happened one other time in Padres history: A player hit for the cycle -- Wil Myers, to be specific.
Myers, who had a rather interesting trip to the plate on Sunday against the Giants at Petco Park, had four more interesting at-bats on Monday en route to his cycle.
In chronological order, Myers' hits came in the first inning (single), third inning (double), sixth inning (home run) and, for maximum dramatic value, triple (in the eighth inning, which happened after he laced a ball into the gap and ran like a man possessed):
The added wrinkle of team-specific fun added to this story, amazingly, has a lot to do with the lone other cycle in Padres history, which
