The Cincinnati Zoo welcomed Yasiel Puig to town with a photo from Yasiel's visit (with a snake!) in 2014
On Friday, Yasiel Puig found himself traded to the Reds (along with Matt Kemp, Kyle Farmer and Alex Wood) in exchange for Homer Bailey and Minor Leaguers Jeter Downs and Josiah Gray.
This marks the first time in Puig's Major League career that he's been involved in a trade, having played only for the Dodgers since defecting from Cuba -- but it's not, obviously, his first time going to Cincinnati.
Back in 2014, Puig visited the Cincinnati Zoo and had some fun playing around with the wildlife ... something the Zoo brought up after Friday's news:
Welcome to Cincinnati @YasielPuig! We¡¯re excited for you to visit the Cincinnati Zoo again & can¡¯t wait to sssssee you play for the @reds! #reds ???? pic.twitter.com/eqvRbFYC0E

That's surely a sentiment Puig's now ex-teammate,

Here's hoping Yasiel also finds time to reconnect with some giraffes, too.
After that, @YasielPuig spent some time feeding the giraffes. Because who wouldn¡¯t want to feed giraffes? pic.twitter.com/SRblcYfaTr
