Here's the Brewers' Spring Breakout roster

What is Spring Breakout?
MLB Spring Breakout is a four-day event showcasing baseballĄ¯s future: the current stars of Minor League Baseball. The second edition will be held from March 13-16 at Grapefruit and Cactus League stadiums during Spring Training. Sixteen exhibition games will be played between teams comprised of each MLB organizationĄ¯s top prospects, creating a new touchpoint on the baseball calendar that celebrates the sportĄ¯s budding talent.
When is the Brewers' game?
The Brewers are playing in the final game of Spring Breakout 2025. Milwaukee hosts the Reds at American Family Fields of Phoenix on Sunday, March 16, at 6:40 p.m. CT.

Which position players are expected to play?
The two headliners of the Brewers' Spring Breakout roster are 17-year-old switch-hitting shortstop Jes¨˛s Made (the Brewers' No. 2 and MLB's No. 55 prospect) and 20-year-old shortstop Cooper Pratt (the Brewers' No. 3 and MLB's No. 56 prospect).
Made is a rising star in the organization who could even be on a Chourio-style path toward the big leagues. He excelled in his first pro season in the Dominican Summer League in 2024, batting .331 with a 1.012 OPS, and Spring Breakout could be the first time fans get to see him play in the U.S. For Pratt, who batted .277 with eight home runs and 27 stolen bases at Single-A Carolina and High-A Wisconsin last season, this will be the second consecutive Spring Breakout game. Pratt got to play in the game last year after getting his first taste of Spring Training.
The Brewers' two first-round hitting prospects from the last two Drafts -- 18-year-old outfielder Braylon Payne (Milwaukee's No. 11 prospect) and 22-year-old third baseman Brock Wilken (No. 18) -- are also on the 2025 Spring Breakout team. Twenty-one-year-old first baseman Blake Burke (No. 17), the BrewersĄ¯ Competitive Balance Round A pick from 2024, is on the Spring Breakout roster as well.
Which pitching prospects are expected to play?
Right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, the team's top pitching prospect and MLB's No. 99 prospect overall, is a candidate to start the Spring Breakout game for Milwaukee, which he also did last year. The 22-year-old has both the best fastball and best curveball of any 2025 Top 100 prospect, according to MLB Pipeline.
Spring Breakout could also be the first look for Brewers fans at 18-year-old right-hander Bryce Meccage, who's one of the more intriguing pitchers on the roster. Meccage, the Brewers' second-round Draft pick last year and now their No. 16 prospect, is set to make his pro debut in 2025 after not allowing a single hit in his entire high school senior season last year (he made five starts and threw 22 no-hit innings).
You could also see pitchers like 25-year-old right-hander Craig Yoho (Milwaukee's No. 19 prospect), who's been impressing this spring with his Devin Williams-like changeup.
Why are certain top prospects not listed on the roster?
The Brewers' No. 1 prospect, 22-year-old catcher Jeferson Quero (MLB's No. 47 prospect overall and No. 5 catching prospect), is not yet fully back from the shoulder surgery that ended his 2024 season in April. Milwaukee is hopeful that Quero will be able to catch in games by the end of Spring Training, but the Spring Breakout game won't be one of them.
Similarly, the Brewers' No. 2 pitching prospect after Misiorowski, left-hander Robert Gasser (No. 12), is still recovering from Tommy John surgery that he underwent last June. So is 19-year-old right-hander Josh Knoth, the team's Competitive Balance Round A pick in 2023 and No. 20 prospect, who had the surgery a few weeks ago and will miss all of the 2025 season.
Aside from Quero, the only top 10 Brewers prospects not on the Spring Breakout roster are corner infielder Mike Boeve (No. 5) and first baseman Tyler Black (No. 6). The Brewers are sending 14 of their top 20 prospects to Spring Breakout -- the only other player missing in that range is pitching prospect Logan Henderson (No. 13).
