The prospect performances that stood out Sunday across the Minor Leagues involved big names (like Marcelo Mayer and Matt Shaw) going yard and big arms (like Jacob Misiorowski) racking up a lot of strikeouts. Not to mention Arjun Nimmala, who has put a little home run streak together at High-A.

Marcelo Mayer, SS, Worcester (BOS No. 3/MLB No. 11)
Mayer is hot. Really hot. And he is producing. Mayer has driven in 24 runs over his last nine games after another four-RBI performance in Triple-A Worcester's matinee. The majority of them came on a smooth-and-easy three-run homer, Mayer's seventh dinger in 22 games this season. Gameday
Matt Shaw, 3B, Iowa (CHC No. 1/MLB No. 18)
The Cubs' top prospect socked his first home run back at Triple-A, lining a laser beam of a solo shot down the left-field line in Iowa's win. It's been a tough start to the season for Shaw, who struggled upon earning an Opening Day roster spot with the Cubs. But maybe he's beginning to find his stroke. Shaw also scored twice and has had multihit games in two straight contests. Gameday
Arjun Nimmala, SS, Vancouver (TOR No. 1/MLB No. 83)
Nimmala only needed one pitch to extend his home run streak to three consecutive games for High-A Vancouver. Across the past five contests, Toronto's top pick in the 2023 Draft has gone 7-for-22 with three roundtrippers and seven RBIs, adding to an eye-catching start to his second full pro season after struggling out of the gates in 2024. Konnor Griffin, SS, Bradenton (PIT No. 2/MLB No. 40)
The 19-year-old Griffin is an extra-base hit machine. He had three knocks for the second straight day, this time three doubles in the Single-A Marauders' victory. The 2024 ninth overall pick has nine extra-base hits and 11 steals in his first 18 games for Bradenton. Gameday
Miguel Bleis, RF, Greenville (BOS No. 13)
The 21-year-old outfielder had a big day at the plate, clocking two homers to lead High-A Greenville to victory. Bleis clubbed a three-run long ball in the first inning and added a solo shot in the seventh in his first multi-homer game since July 2022. Gameday
Jonah Tong, RHP, Binghamton (NYM No. 6)
Mets hurlers seem to be showing up on these lists more and more. It was Tong's turn as the right-hander collected 10 strikeouts across four innings of one-hit ball, allowing only two baserunners as he threw 41 of his 62 pitches for strikes for the Double-A Rumble Ponies. It was the best start of the season for the 21-year-old, who has racked up 30 strikeouts in 17 1/3 innings. Gameday
Jacob Misiorowski, RHP, Nashville (MIL No. 4/MLB No. 96)
Milwaukee's top pitching prospect dazzled, fanning a season-high nine across five scoreless innings in a dominant performance at Triple-A. He scattered only three hits and did not walk a batter, flashing 99.9 mph with his fastball while lowering his ERA to 1.82 over six appearances (five starts) for Nashville. Gameday
Hunter Barco, LHP, Altoona (PIT No. 7)
It's hard to give up much damage when you generate punchouts for all but one of your outs. That's what Barco did in a dominant performance, fanning eight over three innings to outpitch rehabbing Chayce McDermott (BAL No. 4) in the Double-A Curve's 4-1 win over Bowie. Barco has yet to allow an earned run this season in 20 2/3 innings. Gameday
Payton Tolle, LHP, Greenville (BOS No. 17)
The left-hander got some early run support from the High-A Drive and didn't squander it, twirling four scoreless frames in his third career start. Tolle recorded nine of his 12 outs via strikeout, allowing only one hit and one walk in what was easily his best outing as a pro to date. Gameday
Parker Messick, LHP, Columbus (CLE No. 13)
The 24-year-old southpaw couldn't have been much better, firing five scoreless innings of one-hit ball while striking out eight. He only walked one, exiting the day with a very respectable 30-10 K-BB ratio through five starts on the year for the Triple-A Clippers. Gameday
