The final day of Triple-A's Opening Week was largely anticipated because of all the debuts scheduled on the mound. And while the first start of the season for Pirates No. 1 prospect Bubba Chandler (MLB No. 15) was postponed due to snow in Minnesota, four other Top 100 arms officially toed the rubber for the first time in 2025 on Sunday. Their efforts, as well as a big showing at the plate from the game's top position player prospect, highlight the day's top performers:

SUNDAY'S TOP PERFORMERS:
Roman Anthony, OF, Worcester (BOS No. 1/MLB No. 2)
Anthony showed why he¡¯s considered the game¡¯s top position player prospect with an all-around showing, homering twice in Triple-A Worcester's 12-0 rout of Syracuse. Anthony crushed a 412-foot solo shot (109.6 mph exit velo) in the sixth inning and added a two-run shot to the opposite field in the eighth, his first two homers of the season. He also walked twice and scored four runs. Full story | Gameday
Marcelo Mayer, SS, Worcester (BOS No. 3/MLB No. 12)
Anthony isn¡¯t Worcester¡¯s only heralded prospect, of course, and wasn¡¯t the only one to contribute to the WooSox blowout win. It also featured Mayer¡¯s first Triple-A hit and RBI, a two-run single that Mayer clocked at 109.2 mph. He finished 2-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored. Gameday
Coby Mayo, 3B, Norfolk (BAL No. 2/MLB No. 14)
Nothing like starting the season off on a big fly. Just ask Mayo, who launched his first hit of 2025 a long, long way for a two-run homer in Triple-A Norfolk¡¯s 8-2 win over Durham. Mayo¡¯s trademark power wasn¡¯t his only skill on display. He finished 3-for-5 on the day. Gameday
Chase Dollander, RHP, Albuquerque (COL No. 1/MLB No. 25)
Making his Triple-A debut, Dollander struck out five across four innings of one-run ball in Albuquerque's 2-1 victory over Sacramento. He scattered six hits and walked two, but limited the damage in his first start as an Isotope. Gameday
Caden Dana, RHP, Salt Lake (LAA No. 2/MLB No. 77)
The Bees¡¯ bullpen wobbled in Salt Lake's 13-2 loss to El Paso, but that was little fault of Dana, who held the Chihuahuas to one run across four innings in his Triple-A debut. The 21-year-old struck out four and issued three walks in his first start of the season. Gameday
Jacob Misiorowski, RHP (MIL No. 4/MLB No. 99)
Misiorowski pitched out of the bullpen after earning a promotion to Triple-A last year, but he¡¯s starting for Nashville now. He was dominant in his season debut, punching out seven across five scoreless innings of one-hit ball in the Sounds¡¯ 2-1 extra-inning loss to Jacksonville. Misiorowski struck out the side in the first inning and registered at least one punchout in every frame. Gameday
Carson Whisenhunt, LHP, Sacramento (SF No. 2)
In a matchup of NL West rivals' top pitching prospects, Whisenhunt racked up nine strikeouts without a walk in 4? innings for the Triple-A River Cats opposite Albuquerque's Dollander. Whisenhunt threw 49 of his 65 pitches for strikes, giving up two runs on four hits. Gameday
Chase Meidroth, SS, Charlotte (CWS No. 8)
Meidroth nearly won Chicago¡¯s starting shortstop job out of Spring Training, but instead returned to Triple-A. He launched his first homer out of the leadoff spot in Charlotte's 9-6 win over Gwinnett. Edgar Quero (CWS No. 6/MLB No. 65) also chipped in two hits and two runs scored. Gameday
Yonathan Perlaza, RF, El Paso (SD NR)
Playing in his first affiliated game since 2023, Perlaza had a huge day at the plate for the Triple-A Chihuahuas, tying a career high with six RBIs. The 26-year-old had three hits, including a homer, and reached base in all five of his plate appearances. It was a banner return for the outfielder who spent the 2024 season in Korea. Gameday
