Jenkins (No. 3) leads trio of Twins on new Top 100 Prospects list
When the Twins jumped up eight spots in the inaugural MLB Draft Lottery, they knew it was very good news. They may not have known at the time just how good.
With the fifth pick in the 2023 Draft, Minnesota selected outfielder Walker Jenkins from a North Carolina high school. A year and a half later, Jenkins is the No. 3 prospect in all of baseball according to MLB Pipeline. He¡¯s one of three Twins prospects in the newly released Top 100, joined by outfielder Emmanuel Rodriguez (No. 37) and fellow 2023 draftee infielder Luke Keaschall (No. 61).

Jenkins, who turns 20 next month, thrived in his first full professional season, slowed only by an early-season hamstring injury. He began the year at Single-A Fort Myers but suffered the injury on Opening Day, losing more than a month.
Upon his return, he did a brief rehab stint in the Florida Complex League then settled in quickly back at Single-A. Jenkins hit even better after a promotion to High-A before finishing the season with a brief stint at Double-A.
The lefty-hitting outfielder finished the season with a .282/.394/.439 line across four levels, with more walks (56) than strikeouts (47), six home runs, and 17 steals in 20 attempts. He gets praise for his skills across the board, from contact and strike zone judgment to power potential to speed and defense.
He¡¯s joined in the Top 100 by Rodriguez and Keaschall, giving Twins fans a potential future offensive core to be excited about.
Rodriguez, who will be 22 in February, was likewise hampered by injury in 2024, dealing with a right thumb issue for much of the season. Still, when he played, he hit. Rodriguez managed a .280/.459/.567 line across four levels, finishing the season with a week at Triple-A. He¡¯s also well regarded defensively, with a strong arm and good athleticism for his size.
Keaschall, 22, was one of the breakout prospects of 2024. After being a second-round pick out of Arizona State in 2023, he raked at two levels in ¡¯24, posting a line of .303/.420/.483 between High-A and Double-A. Like Jenkins and Rodriguez, he showed impressive command of the strike zone, with 62 walks.
