This award recognizes the ballparkĄ¯s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, specifically in the conservation of water resources.

MLB + Green
Major League Clubs emphasize and practice sustainability through waste diversion, composting, sustainable purchase, water conservation and energy efficient practices throughout the year. Efforts include comprehensive on-site gardens, Green Teams to collect recyclables, LED field lighting and solar panel installations.
All of Major League Baseball is committed to practicing responsible and socially-conscious sustainability efforts. Key initiatives include Green Team activations, front office volunteer efforts, food donations to local charities and substantive programs operated by MLB Clubs. MLB is the first professional sports league to proudly confirm all of its Clubs as members of the Green Sports Alliance, which promotes healthy, sustainable communities in sports.

The Power Pitch Award recognizes the MLB ballpark that demonstrates exemplary efforts in preserving power and energy. This accolade highlights the ballpark that prioritizes sustainability and environmental responsibility while providing an exceptional fan experience.
The Green Glove Award recognizes the Club that demonstrates outstanding commitment to diverting waste from landfills at their ballpark. From implementing comprehensive recycling programs to promoting composting initiatives and reducing overall waste generation, this award celebrates the ClubĄ¯s dedication to environmental sustainability and responsible waste management practices.
The Eco-Slugger Innovation Award is an accolade given to the Club that demonstrates outstanding efforts in implementing environmentally sustainable practices and initiatives. These initiatives may include energy efficiency measures, waste reduction programs, water conservation efforts, use of renewable resources and overall eco-friendly operations aimed at reducing the environmental impact of hosting baseball-related events.
MLB Goes Green
MLB and the Council for Responsible Sport have worked together over the past few years to certify events as socially and environmentally responsible. The 2023 MLB All-Star Game earned the Evergreen Certification from Council for Responsible Sport, achieving more than 90% of total best practices promoted in the standards for responsible sport. The Five Pillars of Responsible Events include Planning & Communication, Procurement, Resource Management, Access & Equity and Community Legacy.
