ANAHEIM -- It was a scary night for Angels reliever Archie Bradley when he returned home from his rehab assignment at Single-A Inland Empire late Saturday.

Bradley made the 60-mile drive from San Bernardino to his home in Newport Beach after the game, only to find his black Labrador retriever, Crash, missing. Bradley tweeted about his lost dog after midnight and had trouble sleeping, but fortunately woke up to good news. Crash had been found and brought to the Newport Beach Animal Shelter, so the pair was reunited.

"He's a smart dog and was able to get out of my back fence and rolled down the canyon hill and was gone for a little bit,¡± Bradley said. ¡°I don't really know what time he got out. He's been fine in the backyard all season, and so I put him in the back and picked up [Max] Stassi to roll down to the game last night. I got home and [Crash] wasn't there. But fortunately, he's chipped. People found him and called the Newport Animal Shelter, and he was there this morning."

Bradley said it was a scary experience, as he¡¯s had Crash for nine years, which means he¡¯s had him his entire eight-year Major League career.

"It was terrifying,¡± Bradley said. ¡°It was a sleepless night, for sure. But I got my boy back and we're all good now."

It wasn¡¯t all bad for Bradley on Saturday, however, as he made his first rehab appearance with the 66ers. Bradley, who has been out since April 29 with a left abdominal strain, threw a scoreless inning, reaching 95 mph on the radar gun, and came away pleased with his outing. Stassi caught him and also went 2-for-4 with a homer and a double in a 3-0 win.

"It was great,¡± Bradley said. ¡°I got my first low-A win in 10 years. Stass won player of the game. And we got the first shutout of the year for the boys down there. So it was good."

Bradley said he isn¡¯t sure what¡¯s next, as he is hopeful he won't need another rehab outing. He¡¯s set to meet with the training staff to figure out his next step.
