Injury: Right thumb sprain
IL date: April 10 (10-day IL)
Expected return: Late April
Status: Moncada aggravated an existing thumb injury during an at-bat on April 9 and was placed on the IL the following day. He said he believes it'll be a short stint on the IL. (updated April 11)
SS Zach Neto
Injury: Right shoulder surgery
IL date: March 27 (10-day IL, retroactive to March 24)
Expected return: April
Status: Began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Salt Lake on April 1. Played shortstop for first time April 4. Been able to play up to 7 innings at shortstop but has not yet played back-to-back games at the position. (updated April 9) More >>
RHP Sam Bachman
Injury: Thoracic outlet syndrome
IL date: March 27 (15-day IL, retroactive to March 24)
Expected return: Possibly May
Status: Bachman was placed on the IL to start the year but he doesn't need surgery and the hope is he won't need a stint on the 60-day IL. (updated March 27)
3B Anthony Rendon
Injury: Left hip surgery
IL date: Feb. 15 (60-day IL)
Expected return: Possibly late 2025
Status: Rendon underwent left hip surgery after attempting to rehab in the offseason and is likely to miss the 2025 season. (updated Feb. 24)
RHP Robert Stephenson
Injury: Torn right ulnar collateral ligament
IL date: Feb. 15 (60-day IL)
Expected return: Possibly July
Status: Stephenson had Tommy John surgery with a brace inserted in his elbow on May 1, 2024, and is tracking for a return by midseason. (updated Feb. 18)
