Team to watch
Who doesn¡¯t want to be a Trash Panda? Double-A Rocket City has 11 members of the Angels¡¯ Top 30 on the Opening Day roster. It starts with Moore, the 2024 first-rounder, who may not be there for that long, but he¡¯s just one of five in the top 10 at the level. That¡¯s a pretty solid 1-2 in the rotation in the two arms that came from the Phillies last year in Klassen and Aldegheri.

Players we could see in MLB in 2025
Because of their penchant for moving top draftees in particular quickly up the ladder, everyone expects to see Moore in Los Angeles at some point this year. A good start by him could get him there before midseason. Dana touched the big leagues last year and competed for a rotation spot this spring; he should get plenty of starts back at the highest level.
New faces
Johnson¡¯s professional debut came in the big leagues on March 27 as he earned a spot in the big league bullpen. Cortez, a fellow 2024 draftee, could join him quickly if he can land his two plus pitches in the zone more consistently as a reliever. The Angels are excited to see what Davaililo, signed for $2 million in January, can do during his debut in the Dominican Summer League. Gregory-Alford and Jordan were high school arms taken in the 2024 Draft who will officially get started later this year.
On the shelf
Of the top 30, Kent is the only one sidelined with injury. The 2023 eighth-round pick is on the 60-day injured list.
