LOS ANGELES -- Brett Baty¡¯s hot first full Minor League season has him shooting up MLB Pipeline¡¯s Top 100 Prospects lists just as fast as he¡¯s rocketing through the Mets¡¯ farm system.

Baty jumped from No. 94 on Pipeline¡¯s preseason list to No. 49 on its midseason update released on Thursday, making the sixth-largest jump of any prospect in the game. It¡¯s little surprise why.

After mashing over 51 games at High-A Brooklyn to earn a promotion, Baty has since hit five home runs in 29 games at Double-A Binghamton. Overall, Baty has a slash line of .287/.373/.481 in 80 Minor League games. He has received defensive exposure in left field in addition to his usual position of third base.

It¡¯s Baty¡¯s first full professional season. He debuted in 2019 and spent time at the Mets¡¯ alternate training site last summer.

The only thing Baty could not do was supplant the Mets¡¯ top prospect, Francisco ?lvarez, who remained No. 1 in the system while jumping from No. 48 to No. 10 in MLB Pipeline¡¯s overall rankings. ?lvarez and Baty are now the Mets¡¯ top two prospects, followed by shortstop Ronny Mauricio (No. 58 overall), pitchers Matt Allan and J.T. Ginn, and third baseman Mark Vientos.

It¡¯s an order that¡¯s relatively unchanged from March, save for some tweaks. The Mets did not have any of their 2021 Draft picks crack the organization¡¯s Top 10, in large part because they did not sign top selection Kumar Rocker because of medical concerns. Second-rounder Calvin Ziegler clocked in at No. 12 on the Mets¡¯ list, and third-rounder Dominic Hamel was ranked at No. 11. Fourth-rounder JT Schwartz was ranked at No. 17 and fifth-rounder Christian Scott at No. 28.
