White Sox 2023 Organization All-Stars

C: Xavier Fern¨¢ndez
AA/AAA: .301/.376/.517, 99 G, 15 HR, 56 RBI, 48 R, 41 BB
The veteran backstop enjoyed a bit of a renaissance in his ninth pro season, posting his best numbers since 2015. The 28-year-old opened the year with a strong showing for Double-A Birmingham -- batting .284 over 63 games -- but really took off after being promoted to Triple-A Charlotte. Fern¨¢ndez slashed .331/.397/.548 with 17 extra-base hits, 15 RBIs and 19 runs scored in 36 games with the Knights.

1B: Tim Elko
A/A+/AA: .295/.347/.527, 131 G, 28 HR, 106 RBI, 80 R, 38 BB
The 2022 10^th-round selection in the Draft by the White Sox is showing early signs of being one of last year¡¯s hidden gems from the class. The 24-year-old Ole Miss product climbed three levels during his first full pro season and simply hit everything in sight at every stop along the way. He also proved to be durable with a clean bill of health, suiting up for 131 games.

2B: Mario Camilletti
A/A+: .279/.429/.362, 111 G, 3 HR, 63 RBI, 72 R, 98 BB, 1 SB
After taking the field for just two games in Rookie-league ball after being selected in the eighth round of last year's Draft, Camilletti proved up to the task in his first full season in the Minors. The 24-year-old slashed .289/.432/.375 with 25 extra-base hits and 60 RBIs over 97 games at Single-A Kannapolis before being promoted to High-A on Aug. 22. The Central Michigan product also displayed advanced zone awareness, drawing 98 walks while striking out 79 times.

3B: Brooks Baldwin (CWS No. 30)
A/A+: .269/.349/.460, 93 G, 15 HR, 58 RBI, 63 R, 42 BB, 22 SB
A swiss-army knife type in Chicago's organization, Baldwin has played every position but pitcher and catcher during his first two pro seasons, but saw most of his reps at the hot corner this year. The switch-hitting 23-year-old opened the year with Single-A Kannapolis, but joined High-A Winston-Salem late and found his groove with the Dash. Baldwin slashed .327/.375/.495 with five dingers over 26 South Atlantic League games. He also displayed his basestealing savvy with 22 swipes on 27 attempts.

SS: Colson Montgomery (CWS No. 1, MLB No. 17)
ROK/A+/AA: .287/.455/.484, 64 G, 8 HR, 37 RBI, 51 R, 56 BB, 2 SB
Injuries limited the top White Sox prospect to just 64 games this year, but Montgomery made the most of his time on the field. After a brief stint at High-A and 10 games at the Rookie-level for rehab assignments, the 2021 No. 22 overall Draft pick played most of his season at Double-A Birmingham where his sweet lefty-swing often wowed the crowd with its ability to generate easy power to all fields.

OF: Jacob Burke (CWS No. 20)
A/A+: .294/.392/.439, 85 G, 6 HR, 40 RBI, 63 R, 36 BB, 19 SB
In his first full pro season, Burke flashed the tools that make him a steal for the White Sox in the 11th round of the 2022 Draft. Primarily a center fielder, the 22-year-old exhibited the ability to handle all three outfield spots with his speed and advanced defensive instincts. His speed also proved to play up on the basepaths as he stole 19 bases in 85 games. His total-package game earned him Prospect of the Year honors for the South Siders.

OF: Wilfred Veras (CWS No. 21)
A+/AA: .286/.324/.466, 130 G, 17 HR, 93 RBI, 75 R, 28 BB, 24 SB
The 20-year-old spent most of his first two seasons in the Minors as an infielder, but made the transition exclusively to the outfield this season and looked right at home. Veras posted a .985 fielding percentage across 113 games in the corner spots while continuing to thrive at the plate. The Dominican Republic native slashed .309/.346/.533 with six dingers and 30 RBIs over 38 games with Double-A Birmingham to conclude the season.

OF: Terrell Tatum (CWS No. 19)
A+/AA: .248/.367/.367, 125, 6 HR, 51 RBI, 89 R, 100 BB, 47 SB
Another player who made a strong case for Minor League prospect of the Year, Tatum flourished with a clean bill of health on his side after playing in just 68 total games across his first two pro seasons. The 5-foot-9, 167-pounder with plus-speed wreaked havoc on the basepaths all year long, working 100 walks and successfully swiping 47 bags in 56 attempts. Tatum also scored 89 runs and seemed to glide to every fly ball while patrolling center field.

RHP: Connor McCullough
A/A+: 8-8, 4.29 ERA, 113 1/3 IP, 130 K, 25 BB, .227 BAA, 1.07 WHIP
Signed as an undrafted free agent out of Kansas State in 2022, McCullough shined in his first full pro season, tossing a seven-inning no-hitter for Single-A Kannapolis on May 18. The 24-year-old posted seven scoreless outings over 23 combined starts between Single-A and High-A. McCullough's 1.07 WHIP and 23.1 percent K-walk rate led all qualified pitchers in the White Sox system.

LHP: Tyler Schweitzer (CWS No. 25)
A/A+: 7-4, 3.94 ERA, 107 1/3, 121 K, 45 BB, .227 BAA, 1.30 WHIP
The southpaw was named the organization's Pitching prospect of the Year in his professional debut after posting a system-best 3.94 ERA across 107 1/3 frames at Single-A and High-A. More finesse than power, Schweitzer also displayed elite control and command, whiffing 121 while yielding just 45 walks. The Ball State product pitches off of his mid-90s fastball with a 78-81 mph slider, upper-70s curve and low-80s changeup.

RP: Ben Beutel
A: 7-4, 2 SV, 3.12 ERA, 52 IP, 47 K, 15 BB, .258 BAA, 1.25 WHIP?
Another undrafted free agent in 2022, the Iowa product spent the season coming out of the bullpen for Kannapolis and posted 19 scoreless appearances. The left-hander only yielded three earned runs or more in three of his 29 outings for the Cannon Ballers. Beutel appeared to tire late as he posted a 1.93 ERA and 1.16 WHIP through July, but did rebound for three shutout appearances in September to finish the season.
