Major League Baseball on Thursday announced start times for its entire 2025 calendar of games, including the regular season, Spring Training and the second annual Spring Breakout.

The 2025 Spring Training slate will officially begin on Thursday, February 20th as the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs open the Cactus League season at 3:05 p.m. (ET)/1:05 p.m. (MST) at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, AZ. The Grapefruit League season will begin on Friday, February 21st as the Tampa Bay Rays visit the New York Yankees at 1:05 p.m. (ET) in Tampa, FL. All 30 Major League Clubs will play in Cactus and Grapefruit League games on Saturday, February 22nd.
The second annual Spring Breakout, which is scheduled for Thursday, March 13th through Sunday, March 16th, will officially begin with two contests on March 13th as the top prospects of the Rays and Boston Red Sox meet at 7:05 p.m. (ET) at Charlotte Sports Park in Port Charlotte, FL, and the top prospects of the Dodgers and Cubs square off at 9:05 p.m. (ET)/6:05 p.m. (PT) at Camelback Ranch in Glendale.
The Dodgers and Cubs will also begin the 2025 regular season with the Tokyo Opening Series presented by Guggenheim, marking Major League Baseball¡¯s sixth Opening Series in Japan, and the first since 2019. The contests at the Tokyo Dome on Tuesday, March 18th and Wednesday, March 19th will both begin at 7:10 p.m. (local)/5:10 a.m. (CT)/3:10 a.m. (PT), and will feature Japan natives Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto of the Dodgers squaring off against their fellow Japan natives Shota Imanaga and Seiya Suzuki of the Cubs.
Traditional Opening Day, featuring 28 of the 30 Major League Clubs, will take place on Thursday, March 27th. ESPN will exclusively broadcast an Opening Day doubleheader, featuring the Milwaukee Brewers at the New York Yankees from Yankee Stadium at 3:05 p.m. (ET)/2:05 p.m. (CT), and the Dodgers hosting the Detroit Tigers at Dodger Stadium at 7:10 p.m. (ET)/4:10 p.m. (PT). The 14 games on Opening Day will feature four divisional matchups and four Interleague contests. Nine games are scheduled for Friday, March 28th, a full slate of 15 games will be played Saturday, March 29th, and 13 contests will be played on Sunday, March 30th. MLB Network will have extensive coverage of Opening Day on Thursday, March 27th, with programs MLB Central its Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight, featuring live look-ins at games in progress, highlights and analysis.
For 2025, prime Interleague rivals will increase their number of matchups from four to six while playing a pair of three-game series rather than a pair of two-game series. As a result, each of the 30 Clubs will play two fewer games against non-division league opponents. ¡°Rivalry Weekend¡± across MLB will take place on the weekend of May 16th-18th, featuring 11 series between prime Interleague rivals and four other regional matchups. In 2025, each of the 30 Clubs will host the same Interleague opponents as they hosted in 2023 (the 2026 schedule will feature Clubs hosting the same Interleague opponents as 2024). ¡°Rivalry Weekend¡± games will start with a matchup between the Cubs and Chicago White Sox at Wrigley Field at 2:20 p.m. (ET)/1:20 p.m. (CT).
The Cincinnati Reds and the Atlanta Braves will play in the MLB Speedway Classic presented by BuildSubmarines.com at Tennessee¡¯s Bristol Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 2nd at 7:15 p.m. (ET) on FOX. The contest will mark the first American or National League game ever played in Tennessee, which will become the fifth different state across the country since 2016 to host an MLB game that will be a first-time AL or NL contest.
The 95th All-Star Game presented by Mastercard will take place on Tuesday, July 15th at Truist Park in Atlanta on FOX, marking the ballpark¡¯s first Midsummer Classic, the fifth All-Star Game hosted by the Braves, and the third to be played in Atlanta, joining the 1972 All-Star Game at Atlanta Stadium and the 2000 Midsummer Classic at Turner Field. The T-Mobile Home Run Derby on ESPN will take place on Monday, July 14th at Truist Park.
The final day of the 2025 regular season will be Sunday, September 28th, featuring eight divisional matchups, and with all 15 contests starting between 3:00-3:20 p.m. (ET).

? Four-time All-Star Juan Soto will make his New York Mets debut on Opening Day as the Mets visit the Houston Astros at Daikin Park at 4:10 p.m. (ET)/3:10 p.m. (CT), while his home debut at Citi Field will take place on Friday, April 4th as the Mets welcome the Toronto Blue Jays at 3:10 p.m. (ET).
? All-Star hurler Garrett Crochet¡¯s first potential opportunity to pitch against his former squad comes as his Red Sox visit Rate Field in Chicago to take on the White Sox for three games beginning on Friday, April 11th at 7:40 p.m. (ET)/6:40 p.m. (CT).
? All 30 Clubs are scheduled to play on Jackie Robinson Day on Tuesday, April 15th, including the Colorado Rockies visiting the Dodgers in Los Angeles at 10:10 p.m. (ET)/7:10 p.m. (PT).
? Monday, April 21st marks Patriots¡¯ Day in Boston, and the White Sox will visit the Red Sox at Fenway Park at 11:10 a.m. (ET).
? In a rematch of the 2024 World Series, the Dodgers will host the reigning AL Champion Yankees for a three-game series beginning on Friday, May 30th at 10:10 p.m. (ET)/7:10 p.m. (PT).
? Lou Gehrig Day will be celebrated across Baseball on Sunday, June 1st and Monday, June 2nd, and the Yankees will recognize the occasion when they host the Cleveland Guardians at 7:05 p.m. (ET) on Tuesday, June 3rd (Clubs not scheduled to play on June 2nd have the option to celebrate during another home date).
? Several World Series Champions will square off against their former clubs, including:
o Eight-time All-Star and 2024 World Series MVP Freddie Freeman will welcome the Braves to Dodger Stadium for a three-game series beginning on Monday, March 31st at 10:10 p.m. (ET)/7:10 p.m. (PT).
o Three-time All-Star Kyle Tucker of the Cubs will return to Daikin Park to square off against his former Astros club in a three-game series beginning on Friday, June 27th at 7:10 p.m. (CT).
o Two-time All-Star Max Fried and the Yankees will visit the Braves at Truist Park in Atlanta for a three-game series beginning on Friday, July 18th at 7:15 p.m. (ET).
o Two-time All-Star Walker Buehler and the Red Sox welcome the Dodgers to Fenway Park for a three-game set beginning on Friday, July 25th at 7:10 p.m. (ET).
