More than 90 hours of MLB Network programming set up for Major League Baseball's final week of the 2024 regular season
Live games with postseason implications and analysis from eight different studio programs featured throughout the week
Live look-ins of every important game featured across MLB Network¡¯s eight hours of coverage this Sunday, Sept. 29, the last day of the regular season
Sept. 23, 2024 ¨C With seven Postseason spots still to be clinched, MLB Network has lined up more than 90 hours of live programming to cover the last week of the 2024 regular season. For the next seven days, live games with Postseason implications coupled with wall-to-wall studio content will blanket MLB Network¡¯s coverage. In customary fashion, MLB Network¡¯s Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight presented by Charlotte¡¯s Web ¨C featuring live look-ins of every important game - will air every day this week, including a five-hour bonanza on the last day of the regular season, this Sunday, Sept. 29, beginning at 2 p.m. ET. Broadcasters Greg Amsinger, Brian Kenny, Adnan Virk, Alanna Rizzo, Christopher Russo, Abby Labar, Yonder Alonso, Carlos Pe?a, Dan Plesac, Anthony Recker, Harold Reynolds and Tom Verducci will all be part of this Sunday¡¯s final day coverage.
The last MLB Network Showcase telecast of the season presented by Casamigos Tequila will see Gunnar Henderson and the Baltimore Orioles take on Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees this Thursday, Sept. 26 at 7 p.m. ET from Yankee Stadium. Hall of Famer Bob Costas will handle the play-by-play with four-time Emmy Award-winner Tom Verducci serving as the analyst. Reporter Jon Morosi will man the dugouts for all the interviews and insight.
Concluding their seventh regular season together as a trio, Robert Flores, Lauren Shehadi and Mark DeRosa will co-host MLB Central every day this week at 9 a.m. ET presented by CohnReznick, plus Quick Pitch will conclude each night following all the games.
Analysis, breakdowns and newsworthy interviews will be featured across the week on High Heat with Russo and Rizzo at 11 a.m. ET, MLB Now at 12 p.m. ET with host Brian Kenny and contributors Ruben Amaro Jr, Mark Feinsand, Jon Heyman, Joel Sherman and Jayson Stark, Off Base at 4 p.m. ET hosted by Lauren Gardner alongside Russell Dorsey, Ariel Epstein and Xavier Scruggs, and Intentional Talk at 5 p.m. ET presented by Best Western and co-hosted by Siera Santos and World Series champions Ryan Dempster and Kevin Millar.
Matt Yallof and Gregg Caserta will host Big Inning - the action-packed whiparound show - throughout the week on MLB.TV, with the program airing on MLB Network tomorrow, Tuesday, Sept. 24 at 8:30 p.m. ET. Analysts Alex Avila, Al Leiter, Ryan Rowland-Smith and Chris Young will all be in-studio this week covering the Postseason push.
Serving as a theme for the entire Postseason, a wide variety of MLB Network¡¯s highlight packages this October will be played to the soundtrack of The Weeknd¡¯s latest song Dancing In The Flames from his forthcoming album, Hurry Up Tomorrow. Additional highlights on the MLB Network schedule this week include the 2024 Triple-A National Championship Game presented by Capital One this Saturday, Sep. 28 at 10 p.m. ET with Tyler Maun (play-by-play) and Jim Callis (analyst) on the call, live from Las Vegas Ballpark. MLB Network¡¯s Matt Vasgersian and six-year MLB player and current member of the Salt Lake Bees Cole Tucker will co-host the second-annual MiLB Awards Show on Monday, Sept. 30 at 9 p.m. ET. The very best in MiLB will be highlighted throughout the program, including the Minor League Hitting and Pitching Prospect of the Year, the All-MiLB Prospect Team, Breakout Player of the Year, Minor League Debut of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year.
