As the Nationals enter their 20th anniversary season, players in Spring Training will have the opportunity to be mentored by some of the most notable alumni in team history.
The Nats will host a lineup of guest instructors during camp that features former position players Ian Desmond, Danny Espinosa, Adam LaRoche, Denard Span and Jayson Werth, and former pitchers Tyler Clippard, An¨ªbal S¨¢nchez, Drew Storen and Jordan Zimmermann.
Not only can these players speak to the two decades of Nationals team history, they will bring an abundance of accolades and experiences to CACTI Park of The Palm Beaches. This is particularly significant in a Major League camp that includes a young Nats core and 10 of the clubs¡¯ top-30 prospects as non-roster invitees.
