Here's the Nationals' Spring Breakout roster
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The Nationals invited 16 of their top 30 prospects to Major League camp, and even more will be showcasing their talents next weekend in the 2025 Spring Breakout.
There are not one but two Spring Breakout games this year for the Nationals. For scheduling purposes, one team from each league in Spring Training takes the field twice. The Nats were tabbed in the Grapefruit League and the Cubs in the Cactus League.
Washington is permitted to set two different rosters for each game, and the organization submitted a total of 36 players.
What is Spring Breakout?
MLB Spring Breakout is a four-day event showcasing baseball¡¯s future: the current stars of Minor League Baseball. The second edition will be held from March 13-16 at Grapefruit and Cactus League stadiums during Spring Training. Sixteen exhibition games will be played between teams comprised of each MLB organization¡¯s top prospects, creating a new touchpoint on the baseball calendar that celebrates the sport¡¯s budding talent.
When are the Nationals games?
Both Spring Breakout games will be played at CACTI Park of the Palm Beaches, which the Nats share with the Astros.
- Friday, March 14: 2:05 p.m. ET at Astros
- Sunday, March 16: 5:05 p.m. ET vs. Mets
Of note, the Nationals also are playing Major League Spring Training games at the Braves on March 14 at 1:05 p.m. ET and vs. the Rays on March 16 at 1:05 p.m. ET.

Top 30 position players slated to play are: 3B Brady House (No. 4), SS Seaver King (No. 5), SS Luke Dickerson (No. 7), C Caleb Lomavita (No. 9), OF Daylen Lile (No. 10), 3B Cayden Wallace (No. 11), 1B/3B Yohandy Morales (No. 13), C Kevin Bazzell (No. 14), OF Elijah Green (No. 25), OF Andrew Pinckney (No. 26) and OF Sam Petersen (No. 30).
Position players outside of the top 30 are: OF Brenner Cox, INF Armando Cruz, OF Sir Jamison Jones, INF Jorgelys Mota, C Maxwell Romero, OF Carlos Tavares, INF Randal Diaz and 1B T.J. White.

Pitching prospects outside of the top 30 are: RHPs Jose Atencio, Brendan Collins, Robert Cranz, Marc Davis, Angel Roman, Thomas Schultz, Seth Shuman, Jack Sinclair, Carlos Romero, Yoel Tejeda, Sam Vasquez, Alex Meckley and LHPs Andrew Alvarez and Dustin Saenz.
