Team to watch
While Reading and Clearwater each have seven Top 30 guys, we¡¯ll give the edge to Triple-A Lehigh Valley. That¡¯s because Crawford is already there and Painter should be there soon enough as he gets ready for his first callup. Abel, Rincones and Johnson give the Phillies five guys in the top 15 who could be calling Lehigh Valley home.
Players we could see in MLB in 2025
Everyone wants to see Painter, and for good reason. The Phillies are slow-rolling him and managing his workload on the front end, with the hope that he could contribute to the big league pitching staff deep into October. With Crawford making the jump to Triple-A to start the year, everyone will want to start that clock, and seeing his speed play a role later in the year in Philly could be exciting.
New faces
Campbell hit 21 doubles and 10 homers while stealing 42 bases in High-A with the Dodgers last year. He was sent to the Phillies in January as Los Angeles was accruing international bonus money used to sign Roki Sasaki.
On the shelf
Painter isn¡¯t on the shelf so much as building up to jump off it and be ready for an October run. Pan had Tommy John surgery last November and will miss all of the 2025 season. McGowan will also miss all of the 2025 season because of Tommy John surgery.
