A¡¯s hire Marc Badain as new team president
LAS VEGAS, Nev. ¡ª The Athletics announced today the hiring of Marc Badain as the club's new president. With more than three decades of experience in sports business leadership, Badain was instrumental in the relocation of the NFL¡¯s Raiders to Las Vegas and led the team responsible for the successful development of Allegiant Stadium. His first day with the team is today, March 6, 2025.
Badain joins the Athletics from his role as President of Oak View Group Las Vegas ¨C Arena and Entertainment, where he has been overseeing the planning for a multi-billion-dollar integrated resort and arena project. Badain¡¯s career with the Raiders spanned several decades, including seven years as team president. His extensive experience in overseeing large-scale projects and steering complex organizational operations will be crucial as the Athletics transition to Las Vegas.

Sandy Dean, who was serving as interim president, will now take on the role of Vice Chairman. In this new position, Dean will continue to represent the ownership group in various areas and remain actively involved in plans to develop the team¡¯s new ballpark.
Badain¡¯s career with the Raiders began in 1991 as a training camp intern. Over the years, he advanced through the ranks, eventually becoming the team¡¯s chief financial officer in 2004 and later its president.

A native of Rochester, N.Y., Badain holds a bachelor¡¯s degree in economics from Emory University and an MBA from the University of California¡¯s Walter A. Haas School of Business. He is deeply committed to community engagement and serves on the boards of several organizations, including Opportunity Village, Grant a Gift Autism Foundation, the University of Nevada Sports Management Executive Board, and the Las Vegas Bowl Committee.
