Astros Foundation College Classic names All-Tournament Team
HOUSTON, TX ¡ª The 25th annual Astros Foundation College Classic concluded over the weekend at Daikin Park with Tennessee being named the Tournament Champions after going 3-0 with victories over Oklahoma State, Rice and Arizona. Two teams finished 2-1 over the weekend in Oklahoma State and Arizona, with both losing to Tennessee as their only blemish. Rounding out the field, Texas A&M and Mississippi State went 1-2, while Rice finished 0-3.
Daikin Park hosted a total attendance of 37,167 over the weekend, with the crowd topping out on Saturday with 16,226 fans in attendance.
Tennessee, the reigning National Champions, improved to 11-0 after their undefeated weekend, and now rank as the No. 1 team in the country, per Baseball America. Tennessee is the fourth reigning champ to play at the College Classic and the second consecutive. Speaking of No. 1, Texas A&M entered the year atop Baseball America¡¯s preseason poll, giving the College Classic nine seasons in which they¡¯ve hosted the preseason No. 1 team in the country.
Listed below is the 2025 Astros Foundation College Classic All-Tournament Team, which was highlighted by the Classic¡¯s Most Outstanding Player 2B Gavin Kilen from Tennessee. Kilen set a tournament record with four home runs over the weekend, including back-to-back two homer games on Friday and Saturday. In the three games, Kilen hit .600 (9x15) with a double, triple, four homers and seven RBI.
