Spring is finally in the air, and with it comes the return of Blue Jays baseball in Toronto! The lights go up at Rogers Centre for Opening Day presented by TD on Thursday, March 27 at 3:07 p.m. ET with Blue Jays starting pitcher Jos¨¦ Berr¨ªos on the mound. It is the first MLB Opening Day at Rogers Centre since 2022 and begins a 7-game stretch in Toronto versus the Baltimore Orioles (4 games) and Washington Nationals (3 games).
The opening week of games features the first City Connect Friday, Jr. Jays Opening Day on Sunday, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Silver Slugger Bobblehead giveaway night on Monday, the season¡¯s first Loonie Dogs Night presented by Schneiders on Tuesday, and the return of Work From Dome on Wednesday. Fans will want to get to the ballpark early on Opening Day for a special pregame ceremony, which will also air live on Sportsnet, preceded by a one-hour special edition of Blue Jays Central starting at 2 p.m. ET. Fans can also listen to the game live on the Sportsnet Radio Network and the Sportsnet App.
Pre-Opening Day Activities
- ACE and J FORCE head to City Hall on Wednesday, March 26 at 12:30 p.m. to raise the Blue Jays flag and officially welcome baseball back to Toronto.
- Also on Wednesday, see new Blue Jays Anthony Santander, Jeff Hoffman, and Andr¨¦s Gim¨¦nez take the field at Rogers Centre for the first time with the full squad for pre-Opening Day Workout Day. Details on Workout Day to come.
Blue Jays Opening Day presented by TD
- Fans attending Opening Day are encouraged to arrive early to not miss the opening ceremony, featuring 225 Canadian military members carrying the giant Canadian flag and national anthems performed by the cast of the Toronto production of Disney¡¯s The Lion King. Gates open at 1 p.m. on Opening Day.
- With a spring chill still in the air, all fans receive a Blue Jays Toque giveaway on their seats (image here), and a Blue Jays Magnet Schedule on exit, presented by TD.
Homestand Highlights (March 27 to April 2)
- The Blue Jays enter Night Mode on the second game of the season for City Connect Friday (7:07 p.m.). While the team wears its City Connect uniform on the field, fans can immerse themselves in Toronto¡¯s one-of-a-kind culture around the ballpark with activations, local-inspired food, music, and more. The first 15,000 fans receive a Bo Bichette Layered City Connect Replica Jersey giveaway (image here). Additionally, Fry Days with McCain returns this season ¨C fans can enjoy a specialty loaded fry recipe served in a reusable Blue Jays helmet every Friday home game.
- Jr. Jays Opening Day returns on March 30 (1:37 p.m.) with activities around the ballpark for kids of all ages. Parents and guardians can register their kids aged 14 and under to run the bases postgame. - No April Fools¡¯ prank here ¨C hot dogs are just $1 every Tuesday home game starting April 1 (7:07 p.m.). Fans have had six months to whet their appetites for the first Loonie Dogs Night of the season; how many dollar dogs will go down this year?
- The opening homestand wraps up on Wednesday, April 2 with an afternoon game (3:07 p.m.) which means, Work From Dome is back! Bring the team out and elevate your workday with the ultimate office view at Rogers Centre.
