Brewers announce 2025 player development staff
Tom Flanagan Promoted to Senior Vice President of Player Operations and Baseball Administration
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers today announced their player development staff for the 2025 season, including Minor League managers and coaches for their seven affiliates.

Entering his 36th season in the organization, Tom Flanagan has been promoted to senior vice president of player operations and baseball administration. He joined the Brewers as a batboy in 1990 and ascended the ranks to being named farm director in 2016 and vice president of Minor League operations in 2020. Flanagan, who spent the previous two seasons as vice president of player operations and baseball administration, will continue to oversee the operations of the player development department.
The Brewers return managers at each affiliate, including Joe Ayrault resuming duties as skipper of Double-A Biloxi after temporarily stepping away from the team last season due to a personal health matter.
Rick Sweet enters his 35th season as a Minor League manager, including his 12th leading Milwaukee¡¯s Triple-A affiliate. Midwest League Manager of the Year Victor Estevez returns as manager of Class-A Wisconsin and Carolina League Manager of the Year Nick Stanley is back for his second season leading Class-A Carolina. The Rookie Arizona Brewers will be managed by Rafael Neda. Victor Rey will manage Rookie DSL Brewers Blue (formerly DSL Brewers 1) and Natanael Mejia returns as manager of Rookie DSL Brewers Gold (formerly DSL Brewers 2).
Brenton Del Chiaro has been promoted to assistant director of player development after spending the past three seasons (2022-24) as the organization¡¯s hitting coordinator.
After two seasons as the organization¡¯s pitching coordinator, Nick Childs has been promoted to senior coordinator of Minor League pitching. Former Major League infielder Andrew Romine has been hired as infield coordinator after making his coaching debut in 2024 as the bench coach for the Rookie ACL Guardians. Following eight seasons (2017-24) as a coach at the Triple-A level for the Brewers, Ned Yost IV is the organization¡¯s new outfield and baserunning coordinator.

- Will Schierholz to Assistant Coordinator - Pitching (pitching coach at Double-A Biloxi)
- Justin Meccage to Triple-A Nashville as pitching coach (Pirates bullpen coach)
- Zack Jones to Triple-A Nashville as a hitting coach (hitting initiatives coach in Phillies organization)
- Kevin Martir to Double-A Biloxi as hitting coach (hitting coach at Double-A Somerset)
- Gerry Salisbury to DSL Brewers Gold as pitching coach (pitching coach at the University of Akron)
