The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled outfielder Zac Veen from Triple-A Albuquerque. Outfielder Jordan Beck was optioned to Triple-A on Monday.
Veen, 23, will wear #13 ¡ was the Rockies first round selection (ninth overall) in the 2020 First-Year Player Draft out of Spruce Creek High School in Port Orange, Fla., ¡ currently ranked by MLB.com as the Rockies #8 prospect ¡ previously ranked by MLB.com inside the top 100 overall prospects in baseball in 2023 (#27), 2022 (#36) and 2021 (#54) ¡ has appeared in eight games with Triple-A Albuquerque in 2025, batting .387 (12-for-31) with four doubles, one triple, one home run, eight RBI and one stolen base ¡ winner of the 2025 Abby Greer Award given to the Rockies Spring Training Most Valuable Player after batting .270 (17-for-63) with four doubles, one triple, two home runs, 11 RBI and nine stolen bases in 28 games ¡ in 351 career Minor League games across parts of five seasons has slashed .263/.358/.430 with 71 doubles, 12 triples, 41 home runs, 209 RBI and 135 stolen bases.
