LOS ANGELE**S ¨C** The Los Angeles Dodgers added right-handed pitcher Yoendrys G¨®mez to the active roster and optioned right-handed pitcher Noah Davis.
Gomez, 25, was claimed yesterday from the New York Yankees after being designated for assignment on Tuesday. He pitched in six games for the Yankees, going 1-1 with a 2.70 ERA and five strikeouts in 10.0 innings. He has been in the Majors parts of three seasons with the Yankees and he is a combined 1-1 with a 3.09 ERA in 12 games. In seven minor league seasons, he is 12-17 with a 3.49 ERA in 101 games. He was signed by the Yankees on July 2, 2016, from Nirgua, Venezuela.
Davis, 27, pitched last night, tossing two scoreless innings, striking out two. He made three appearances in his first stint with the Dodgers, going 0-1 with a 10.13 ERA. He has been in the Major Leagues parts of four seasons with the Colorado Rockies (2022-24) and Dodgers (2025), going 0-5 with a 7.83 ERA in 21 games. The Southern California native was originally drafted by the Reds in the 11th round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of UC Santa Barbara.
