CLEVELAND, OH ¨C The Cleveland Guardians and Manager Stephen Vogt today announced the following promotions within the 2025 Major League Coaching Staff:

Promoted Brad Goldberg to Assistant Pitching Coach

Promoted Caleb Longshore to Bullpen Coach

Promoted Agustin Rivero to Major League Coach/Interpreter

Goldberg, entering his second season on the Major League Staff, spent the 2024 campaign as the club¡¯s Bullpen Coach and was an instrumental voice on Major League Baseball¡¯s top bullpen that recorded an MLB-best 2.57 ERA, the lowest by a Cleveland club since 1954. The Beechwood, Ohio native will assist Carl Willis and the entire Pitching Team in all facets of the club¡¯s day-to-day pitching operations and game strategy. He joined the organization in 2021 and is entering his fourth season with the club after a coaching career at The Ohio State University.

Longshore joins the Major League Coaching Staff after spending the last two seasons as the organizational Pitching Coordinator, having previously worked with many of the club¡¯s current pitchers at the Player Development level. Overall, he is entering his fourth season in the Guardians organization after his 2022 hiring as the Pitching Coach at High-A Lake County. Prior to joining the Guardians, the Cleveland, AL native was an Assistant Coach and Pitching Coach at Belmont University (Nashville, TN) from 2018-21 after several collegiate coaching stints, which included time at Middle Tennesee State, Arkansas State and California Baptist University.

Rivero is entering his seventh season on the Guardians staff after joining the organization as Major League Interpreter in April 2019. Over the last few seasons, the San Cristobal, Venezuela native¡¯s responsibilities have expanded to assisting the coaching staff with all day-to-day functions in addition to providing interpretation and facilitating life skills growth for the 40-man¡¯s Spanish-speaking players, as well as those in Major League camp during Spring Training.
