Mets announce player development staff
FLUSHING, N.Y., February 5, 2025 ¨C The New York Mets today announced their 2025 minor league coaching staffs, as well the player development and medical personnel for the upcoming season.
Dick Scott will begin his 12th season with the Mets and his third season as the manager for the Triple-A Syracuse Mets. Reid Brignac returns for his sixth season with the Mets and will manage Double-A Binghamton for the fourth straight season. Gilbert Gomez enters his seventh season with the Mets and second as manager for High-A Brooklyn. Luis Rivera enters his 16th season as a coach in the organization and first as manager for Single-A St. Lucie. Lino Diaz enters his first season with the Mets organization and will manage the Florida Complex League Mets. Since 1998, Diaz has held numerous coaching and player development roles with the Reds, Royals, Guardians, White Sox and Yankees organizations. Felix Fermin Jr. returns for his second season in the organization and will manage DSL Blue. J.C. Rodriguez enters his first season with the Mets organization and will manage DSL Orange. Rodriguez previously served as a hitting coach in the Diamondbacks Dominican Academy from 2022-2024.
