Mets re-sign outfielder Jesse Winker
FLUSHING, N.Y., January 17, 2025 ¨C The New York Mets today announced that the club has re-signed outfielder Jesse Winker to a one-year contract.
Winker, 31, slashed .253/.360/.405 with 23 doubles, 14 homers and 58 RBI in a career-high 145 games last season, splitting time between the Washington Nationals and the Mets. In the Postseason, he hit .318/.531/.636 with one home run, two triples and four RBI over 10 games.

Winker finished 11th in the National League with a .360 OBP and sixth with a .327 (34-104) batting average with runners in scoring position last year.
The 6-2, 210-pounder slashed .258/.366/.422 with 17 doubles, 13 homers and 49 RBI in 341 at-bats vs. right-handed pitching last season. For his career, he¡¯s hitting .275/.378/.462 with 103 doubles, 81 homers and 266 RBI in 1,884 at-bats vs. righties.
For his career as a pinch-hitter, Winker has hit .306/.423/.565 with six homers and 17 RBI in 85 at-bats.
In eight major league seasons with the Reds, Mariners, Brewers, Nationals and Mets, Winker is slashing .262/.367/.437 with 122 doubles, 95 homers and 324 RBI in 755 games. The Buffalo, NY, native was an All-Star in 2021 when he hit .305/.394/.556 with 32 doubles, 24 homers and 71 RBI in 110 games for Cincinnati.
