Players to return for Phillies Winter Tour, featuring community and charitable events
Special events to take place January 16 -23
Several Phillies players, staff and alumni will be back in town to participate in numerous community and charitable events as part of this year*s Winter Tour. The offseason happenings take place just one month before pitchers and catchers report for spring training in Clearwater, Fla.
Scheduled to participate are infielders Kody Clemens, Weston Wilson and rookie and Millville, N.J., native Buddy Kennedy, along with pitchers Orion Kerkering and Cristopher S芍nchez.
Special appearances will also be made by 1993 National League champions Mickey Morandini and Milt Thompson (also a 2008 World Series champion coach), 1980 World Series champion pitcher Dickie Noles and the Phillie Phanatic.

Charlie Manuel, Bill Giles and Kyle Schwarber to be honored at 120th Philadelphia Sports Writers Association Awards Dinner
Each year, the PSWA recognizes elite athletes and coaches from the Philadelphia area for their extraordinary accomplishments on the field and in the community. Among those being honored are the Phillies* 2008 World Series champion manager Charlie Manuel (who will be presented with the Most Courageous Sportsperson Award); Chairman Emeritus Bill Giles (Living Legend Award); and designated hitter Kyle Schwarber (Ed Snyder Humanitarian Award. Phillies Gives Back with FarmerJawn, Leading Empowerment Workshops
Phillies front office volunteers will team up with FarmerJawn to lead family-friendly indoor empowerment workshops as part of its ※Seeds of Change§ program, which focuses on seed planting, healthy cooking demonstrations, custom shirt making and ※grow your brain§ activities. FarmerJawn works to reintroduce farming into the lifestyles of urban people to cultivate physical, social and environmental health, serving the community by helping people to learn where their food comes from and how they can grow their own.

Phillies to Host Clinic for Nike RBI Baseball Players *
Clemens, Kennedy, Kerkering, S芍nchez and Wilson are paying it forward as they join Morandini, Noles, Thompson and the team*s Youth Baseball & Softball Development Staff in hosting a clinic for several Nike RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) youth baseball teams.

MLK 2025 Celebration: Phillie Phanatic Special Appearance
AAMP in partnership with Citizens will offer free admission to the Museum with a special visit from the Phillie Phanatic. Throughout the day, AAMP will host a drumming circle, coloring activities, DJs playing music throughout the museum*s galleries, and Secure the Bag: A real-world budget simulation?, which is a life-sized, interactive game used to teach participants about finances in the real world. Players to Take Part in Surprise Phanatic About Reading Assembly presented by Xfinity *
One of the top performing schools in the Phanatic About Reading program presented by Xfinity will receive a surprise visit from the Phils! More than 300 students and teachers will be treated to an interactive event that features the Phanatic, who will team up with players Clemens, Kennedy, Kerkering, S芍nchez and Wilson to read and act out scenes from his book, The Phillie Phanatic*s Hero. This free, incentive-based program encourages students in grades Pre-K through 8 to read or be read to for a minimum of 15 minutes a day to improve their literacy skills. More than 164,000 students participate in the program.

Clemens, Kennedy, S芍nchez and Wilson will be among those serving hot meals at St. Francis Inn, whose volunteers have been serving sit-down meals to the neediest of individuals and families in Philadelphia since 1979.

Players and Students to Join the Fun at the Phillies* Science of Baseball program presented by PGW *
Phillies players Clemens and Wilson will join 120 elementary students in grades 3 and 4 in a variety of STEM activities being held in the school gym as part of this interactive program led by the club.
