Travis Scott & Cactus Jack Foundation to host third annual HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic on Feb. 13

HOUSTON, TEXAS 每 Travis Scott and his Cactus Jack Foundation, in conjunction with Project H.E.A.L., will host the Cactus Jack Foundation HBCU Celebrity Softball Classic at Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros.
The Celebrity Softball Classic will feature an all-star lineup of baseball legends and A-list entertainers who will participate in a Home Run Derby and Softball Game.
More celebrities will be announced as we approach the event, but some tentative participating celebrities include: Travis Scott, Dave Chappelle, Metro Boomin, C.J. Stroud, Barry Bonds, Ken Griffey Jr., Albert Pujols, Robinson Can車, Ryan Howard, Prince Fielder, Don Toliver, Teyana Taylor, Ne-Yo, Swae Lee, Scarface, Amber Rose, Reggie Jackson, Pedro Martinez, Andre Dawson, Gary Sheffield, CC Sabathia, Andruw Jones, Jeff Bagwell, Jeremy Pe?a, Kyle Tucker, Michael Brantley, Mauricio Dub車n, Andre Johnson, Emmitt Smith, Warren Moon, Terrell Owens, Carl Lewis, Adrian Peterson, Tracy McGrady, Justin Jefferson, Stefon Diggs, Johnny Manziel and more.
Last year, C.J. Stroud took home the MVP Award from the Classic and Robinson Can車 won the Home Run Derby. For the third consecutive year, the Cactus Jack Foundation and the Webster Family, in partnership with NAACP Houston, will host a HBCU Student Scholar Ceremony in honor of Travis Scott*s late grandfather Waymon Webster and his family*s multi generation HBCU lineage.
The event will feature exclusive Cactus Jack merchandise, giveaways, prizes, and raffles, along with the Second Annual Cactus Jack Social Impact Village located on the main concourse, an interactive hub hosting over 20 community and civic organizations, offering on-site resources for event guests. Additionally, the village will include a silent auction with one-of-a-kind music and sports memorabilia.
This event supports Scott*s longstanding commitment to providing scholarship opportunities for students at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). It is a cause that is important to Scott given his family*s longtime legacy studying, working at and supporting HBCUs. Ticket proceeds will benefit the Waymon Webster Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to HBCU seniors for final tuition fees and allows those students to graduate and receive their college diploma on-time.
Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., with the Home Run Derby set for 7 p.m. and the Celebrity Softball Classic will begin at 7:30 p.m. CT.
The three-day in-stadium event will kick off with a Cactus Jack Foundation Community Action Week, beginning Tuesday, February 11th. The week will feature community-based events throughout the city of Houston, including a pop-up charity art show at Cact.Us Design Center and the first-ever Cactus Jack Foundation and Houston Astros Foundation Youth Clinic at the Astros Youth Academy.
