CINCINNATI ¨C The Reds traded right-handed reliever Casey Legumina to the Mariners on Monday for cash considerations. Legumina was designated for assignment by Cincinnati on Jan. 30.

In six big league games over multiple call-ups last season, the 27-year-old Legumina posted an 8.68 ERA, though he had a 3.24 ERA over 39 appearances for Triple-A Louisville. He made his Major League debut in 2023 and had a 5.68 ERA over 11 games.

The Reds originally acquired Legumina from the Twins in the Nov. 18, 2022, trade for infielder Kyle Farmer.
