Miller fans career-high 14 for Double-A Arkansas (Sept. 17)?
Bryce Miller saved his best for last as he struck out a career-high 14 over seven frames to set the table for Double-A Arkansas' 8-2 victory over Corpus Christi at Dickey-Stephens Park.
The fifth-ranked Mariners prospect was perfect through five before yielding a leadoff single in the sixth. Miller responded to that by striking out the next four batters he faced. After a walk with one out in the seventh, the only other blemish for the right-hander was a home run by Joe Perez. Miller recorded the final two outs of the frame on five pitches. He exited after tossing 64 of his 92 pitches for strikes.

Ford racks up four hits at Single-A (Sept. 8)
At the heart of Single-A Modesto¡¯s 17-run eruption in victory over Stockton was leadoff hitter Harry Ford, who slashed four hits and reached base five times.
The cavalcade of runs can be traced back to Ford -- Seattle¡¯s No. 1 prospect -- opening the game with a line-drive single to right field; the backstop came around to score the Nuts¡¯ first run of the night and would be at the center of more to come.
Ford, who has played all season at 19 years old, added his second single in the third, which was Modesto¡¯s defining frame: 14 batters sent to the dish, 10 runs, six hits. Ranked as the No. 68 prospect in baseball by MLB Pipeline, the righty-swinging catcher added a double in the fourth, a walk in the sixth and another opposite-field lined knock in the eighth.
Compiling hits in droves is nothing new for Ford, who has amassed four four-hit outings this season. Taken with the 12th overall selection in the 2021 Draft, the Kennesaw, Ga., native raised his slash line on the year to .272/.425/.438 with the performance. In addition to his advanced eye, Ford has swiped 22 bags this season, having been caught just five times. -- Jesse Borek

Locklear notches first pro multihomer game (Sep. 4)
It didn't take Tyler Locklear too much time to break out his power stroke in a big way.
The Mariners' No. 9 prospect collected his first pro multihomer effort in just his 25th game since being drafted in the second round from VCU in July. It was part of a team-wide offensive outburst for Single-A Modesto, which beat Fresno 12-0.
The Nuts were already ahead 5-0 in the fifth inning before Locklear went deep in consecutive trips to the plate in the fifth and seventh. After homering 20 times for the Rams this spring, he has hit five in just under 100 at-bats as a professional. -- Jacob Resnick

Ford cranks go-ahead homer, logs eight total bases (Aug. 20)
The Mariners emptied the proverbial prospect stockpile when it came to the 2022 Trade Deadline, allowing the top of their crop to reset. Enter: Harry Ford, Seattle¡¯s new No. 1.
Ford blasted off for the second straight game in a 6-5 Modesto win over Rancho Cucamonga, with the roundtripper giving the Nuts a ninth-inning lead they would not relinquish.
In addition to the homer, the 12th overall selection from the 2021 Draft socked a pair of doubles amidst run-scoring frames in the fifth and seventh.
After a slow start to the year, Ford has posted an OPS north of .900 in each of the past three months. MLB Pipeline grades the 19-year-old (MLB¡¯s No. 68 overall prospect) out as slightly above-average behind the dish in both his fielding prowess and throwing arm; his highest mark though -- unusual for a catcher -- is for his wheels. In 86 games this season, the Georgia native has 18 steals in 22 attempts. -- Jesse Borek
Hancock fans five over seven scoreless (Aug. 14)
Emerson Hancock seems to enjoy pitching against Northwest Arkansas.

The 23-year-old continues to have success in the Texas League despite just 64 strikeouts in 74 innings. He missed the first month-plus of the season recovering from a lat strain but has not shown any lingering effects. In 15 starts, Hancock has allowed one or no earned runs in 11. -- Jacob Resnick

It was the second time the Travelers held their opponent hitless this year, following Connor Jones¡¯ seven-inning effort on May 26. Full story ?
Ford has 3 hits, drives in a pair for Nuts (July 31)
Harry Ford might be the new No. 1 Mariners prospect, but nothing truly has changed. The 19 year old still just hits.
Ford concluded July with his eighth multihit game of the month, a three-hit effort in Single-A Modesto's 18-5 win over Fresno. He doubled, drove in two with a single in the second inning and also scored four times in the onslaught.
Since a dreadful first two months of the season, Ford has turned things around in a big way. But his true breakout came in July, where he hit .338 with a .924 OPS in 20 games. The 2021 first-round pick became Seattle's top prospect when Noelvi Marte was traded to Cincinnati for Luis Castillo.
