Spring Breakout begins Thursday, and all 30 teams are ready to roll with prospect-loaded rosters for the showcase games scheduled through Sunday.
The inaugural edition of Spring Breakout features hundreds of the top prospects from around the league. The rosters are stacked, highlighted by 70 players from MLB Pipeline¡¯s Top 100 Prospects list and nearly two-thirds of the 900 players on the team Top 30 lists. Four teams (D-backs, Cardinals, Rockies, Mariners) are sending each of their top 10 prospects -- with Arizona, Colorado, and St. Louis sending 14 of the top 15 prospects in their systems. Kansas City is filling the highest percentage of its roster with Top 30 prospects, as 24 of the Royals' 27 participants are ranked prospects.
