A trio of hurlers, including Top 100 prospects Hagen Smith and Chase Petty, combined for 24 strikeouts over 12 scoreless innings to shine a light on the arms during a busy day around the Minors:

Felnin Celesten, SS, Modesto (SEA No. 5/MLB No. 70)
Celesten's strong start to his first full-season campaign took another giant leap forward with a homer as part of a three-hit night. The 19-year-old fell a triple shy of the cycle and drove in a season-high four runs for Single-A Modesto. Celesten's strong night at the plate increased his slash line to .370/.452/.519 with 16 RBIs in 13 games. Gameday
Marcelo Mayer, SS, Worcester (BOS No. 3/MLB No. 11)
It's been quite a hot stretch for Mayer, who followed up a two-hit performance in Game 1 of Triple-A Worcester's doubleheader with his sixth roundtripper in Game 2. The 22-year-old has gone deep in four of his last six games, hitting 12-for-26 (.462) with two knocks in each contest over that span. Mayer has hiked his slash line from .193/.233/.298 to .277/.318/.518 in that stretch and his 26 RBIs are tops in the Minors. Gameday
Hagen Smith, LHP, Birmingham (CWS No. 3/MLB No. 31)
Smith's strong start to 2025 rolled on with Double-A Birmingham, culminating in his first scoreless outing of the year. The fifth overall pick in last year's Draft struck out eight and walked four, but yielded just a bunt single while tossing 79 pitches (46 strikes) in four frames. Smith has a 2.63 ERA through four starts and is limiting opponents to a .133 average, striking out 25 in 13 2/3 innings. Gameday
Chase Petty, RHP, Louisville (CIN No. 6/MLB No. 99)
Petty rebounded from his worst start of the season to throw his best. The New Jersey native struck out seven, allowing just a fifth-inning single and a pair of walks over a season-high six scoreless frames for Triple-A Louisville. Petty retired 15 of the last 17 Iowa batters he faced during his 80-pitch outing. It was the second time in three starts the 22-year-old has did not allow a run, which lowered his ERA to 3.52 across five appearances. Gameday
Yanquiel Fern¨˘ndez, OF, Albuquerque (COL No. 6)
Fern¨˘ndez continued a red-hot stretch with his second multihomer performance in three games for Triple-A Albuquerque. The 22-year-old, who equaled a season high with three hits and drove in four runs to help pace the Isotopes' 18-run outburst, is 7-for-13 with seven RBIs in his last three games -- all multihit efforts. Fern¨˘ndez sports a .917 OPS, 10 extra-base hits and 14 RBIs overall. Gameday
Robby Snelling, LHP, Pensacola (MIA No. 8)
Snelling was in total control in what turned into his second consecutive six-inning outing. The 21-year-old matched his career high with nine strikeouts and surrendered only three hits -- two coming in the third inning -- en route to his second scoreless start of the season. Snelling set down 11 of the last 12 batters he faced and lowered his ERA to 1.61 and his WHIP to 0.90. The southpaw has a 29-to-3 K/BB ratio in 22 1/3 innings. Gameday
Jaison Chourio, OF, Lake County (CLE No. 3/MLB No. 56)
Although power isn't a huge part of Chourio's game, he can still flash some pop on occasion. The younger brother of Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio slugged his first roundtripper of 2025 and added a pair of walks in four plate appearances for High-A Lake County. The switch-hitting outfielder has already walked 14 times in 14 games, helping boost his OBP to .406. Gameday
Carter Jensen, C, Northwest Arkansas (KC No. 3/MLB No. 82)
Jensen came out of the gate with four consecutive multihit games before following that up with a 3-for-43 skid. But the 21-year-old appears to have rediscovered his stroke, going deep for the second time in three games and driving in a run in his third straight contest. Gameday
