New faces
The Angels added to the deep crop of international talent with a pair of players who received seven-figure bonuses when the international signing period opened in January. Outfielders Nelson Rada and Randy De Jesus got $1.85 million and $1.2 million, respectively, to join the organization, and they will get started in the Dominican Summer League.
On the shelf
Sam Bachman, the club¡¯s 2021 first-round pick, is the type of arm that could move quickly because of his plus-plus stuff, with his fastball-slider combination electric enough to get big league hitters out right now. But Angels fans will have to wait a little bit, as back spasms have slowed him out of the gate this spring.
