Team to watch
Midland leads the way with seven Top 30 prospects on the Opening Day roster, led by No. 3 Zack Gelof. There are two other top 10 guys on the Double-A squad in right-handers J.T. Ginn and Ryan Cusick, both recent trade acquisitions.

New faces
It might be easier to talk about who isn¡¯t a new face. There are eight members of the Top 30 who joined the organization via the trading frenzy the A¡¯s underwent after the lockout ended. Five of the top 10 are recent trade acquisitions, starting with No. 2 prospect Shea Langeliers, now with Triple-A Las Vegas.

On the shelf
Another trade pickup, Gunnar Hoglund, is rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, and should be back at some point this year. Mason Miller, the A¡¯s third-round pick from 2021, has a scapula strain and could miss a good amount of time, while Cody Thomas is making his way back from offseason Achilles surgery.
