Injury: Right shoulder fatigue

Expected return: April 15 or 16
Status: Made first rehab start for Double-A Somerset April 5 at Hartford, striking out seven over 3 1/3 scoreless innings. Schmidt¡¯s second rehab start came on April 10 for Somerset vs. Reading, with four scoreless innings. Schmidt said April 12 he has been pleased by his progress and feels ready to return to the Majors. (updated April 12) More >>
INF DJ LeMahieu
Injury: Left calf strain
IL date: March 24 (10-day)
Expected return: April/May
Status: LeMahieu is set to begin logging at-bats at the club¡¯s Minor League complex in Tampa, Fla. on April 12 or 13, which will begin what manager Aaron Boone described as "a pretty big buildup" of game activity that will replicate a full Spring Training. DH Giancarlo Stanton
Injury: Torn tendons in both elbows

Expected return: Possibly May
Status: Received third round of PRP injections in both elbows on March 10 and reported improvement. Has been hitting off a high-velocity Trajekt machine and is ¡°feeling significantly better.¡± Continues to feel pain, but says it is now at a manageable level. Stanton is with the team in New York. Injury: Recovery from right UCL surgery

Expected return: Late April/early May
Status: Underwent internal brace surgery April 12, 2024. Tossed bullpen on April 5 with Double-A Somerset; manager Aaron Boone has said Lo¨¢isiga¡¯s rehab has gone ¡°really, really well,¡± and that his bullpens have been ¡°electric.¡± Tossed in live batting practice at Yankee Stadium April 12. LHP Tyler Matzek
Injury: Strained right oblique
Expected return: Late April
Status: Sustained "moderate strain" in Feb. 25 appearance. Made first Minor League appearance April 6 for Single A Tampa, then moved to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, where Matzek pitched two innings April 9. Manager Aaron Boone has said Matzek could be big league-ready by the end of April. (updated April 12)
RHP Scott Effross
Injury: Left hamstring strain
IL date: March 24 (15-day)
Expected return: TBD
Status: Exited Feb. 25 game after one pitch and was diagnosed with a Grade 2 hamstring strain. Experienced a setback in his recovery, but he has continued throwing. (updated April 5)
RHP Jake Cousins
Injury: Right forearm strain
IL date: March 27 (60-day)
Expected return: Possibly May/June
Status: Resumed throwing program on March 3. Increased throwing to 90 feet as of March 17. Could return to mound week of April 6. Transferred to 60-day injured list March 27; eligible to return May 26. (updated April 4)

Injury: Right elbow ligament tear
