Pat Listach was named the Astros first base coach on Oct. 22, 2013. Pat spent two seasons with the Cubs, handling the third base coach role in 2012 and bench coach in 2011 ... was a coach or manager in Chicago's farm system from 2000-08 before serving as the Washington Nationals third base coach from 2009-10 ... Was named the 1992 American League Rookie of the Year after a successful season with the Milwaukee Brewers. ... Attended Arizona State University, where he played in the 1988 College World Series - the team fell to Stanford in the championship game. ... Graduated from Natchitoches Central (La.) High School, where he was a four-time letterman in baseball ... attended McLennan Junior College in Texas before transferring to Arizona State. **Coaching Career** Pat enters the 2012 season with 12 years experience as a coach or manager since his first coaching job with the Cubs in 2000. ...
