2006

After a slow start, Sexson rebounded with a big second half -- hitting .322 after the All-Star break after hitting .218 before it. Sexson had a career-best 40 doubles in 2006, and drove in over 100 runs for the second time in as many seasons with Seattle. Had nine home runs in July alone and had a career-high five hits against San Diego on June 25. Sexson got his 1,000th Major League hit -- on a home run, no less -- at Minnesota on May 1.

2005

Started year in Cleveland, splitting time between first base and leftfield...hit his lone career pinch homer on July 6 vs. Toronto...had a 1.000 fielding pct. as an outfielder, recording a trio of outfield assists, including 2 in the same game on July 22 at Minnesota... hit his third career grand slam in that contest in Minnesota...was traded to Milwaukee on July 28 with pitchers Paul Rigdon and Kane Davis and a player-to-be-named (Marcos Scutaro) in exchange for pitchers Bob Wickman, Jason Bere and Steve Woodard...made his Brewers debut on July 30 vs. Colorado...homered in 3 straight games from Aug. 21-23, all at Bank One Ballpark...Milwaukee went 30-27 after his acquisition, and was 10-4 in games that he homered...he had a .991 fielding percentage as a first baseman for the Brewers...Richie earned the Brewers Manager's Award.

1999

In first full season at the big league level with Cleveland, drove in 116 runs, good for 12th among American League sluggers...made 21 starts at designated hitter, 53 starts at first base, 40 starts in left field and one start in right field...had 5 RBI May 19 at Comiskey Park, highlighted by his second career grand slam (off Bryan Ward)...had 5 RBI and 4 hits on Aug. 31 vs. Anaheim, featuring the go-ahead 3-run homer off of Troy Percival in a 14- 12 win...had a pair of multi-homer games (June 9 vs. Milwaukee and July 27 vs. Detroit)... became the first Indian since May 7, 1998 (Omar Vizquel) to hit 2 triples in a game when he accomplished the feat on Sept. 30 vs Toronto...his 7 triples topped the Tribe and tied for ninth best in the AL.

1998

Spent majority of the first half in Buffalo (AAA), earning a spot on the International League All-Star team...was recalled for the first time on June 27, appearing twice before returning to Buffalo during the All-Star break...Richie was recalled for a second time on July 23 after Shawon Dunston was traded to San Francisco, then optioned back to AAA on Aug. 7, but his stay in the minors was short-lived as Jim Thome broke his hand on the night of August 7 and Sexson was back in the Majors on the 8th...hit his first ML home run on Aug, 17 off of Tampa Bay's Wilson Alvarez...recorded first career 4-hit game on Aug. 26 vs. Seattle...enjoyed first career 2-homer game on Aug. 29 vs Oakland, then followed the next night with his first career grand slam (off Tim Worrell)...became the fourth Indians rookie since 1981 to hit 10-plus homers in a season joining Joe Carter (13 in 1984), Cory Snyder (24 in 1986) and Manny Ramirez (17 in 1994).

1997

Had a banner season at Buffalo, earning a berth on the Mid-season All-Star team and a place on the American Association Post-Season All-Star Team...became the first Bison to lead the league in homers (31)...his 88 RBI ranked third in the league and his .530 slugging percentage ranked second...earned Buffalo co-MVP honors with Bruce Aven...missed over a month of the season after suffering a dislocated right shoulder in the second game of the year April 5, going on the disabled list until May 6...was recalled to Cleveland on Sept. 12 after the playoffs and made his Major League debut 2 days later in Comiskey Park in a pinch-hit appearance, collecting a hit in his first at bat with an infield single off Tony Castillo in the eighth inning...played for Arecibo in Puerto Rican Winter League after the season.

1996

Spent the entire season with Canton-Akron (AA), leading the club in doubles, games and at bats...his 85 runs were fifth in the Eastern League and 22 doubles ranked second... played with the Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League following the season.

1995

Won the Tribe's Lou Boudreau Award as the top minor league position player, spending the entire season at Kinston (A)...he was the MVP of the Carolina League and named to the Post-Season All-Star team...led the Carolina League in hits, total bases, doubles, RBI and extra base hits, while finishing second in average, runs, slugging percentage, tied for third in games, at bats and finished fourth in home runs...led all Carolina League first basemen in total chances, putouts, assists and double plays...was named the Carolina League's "Best Batting Prospect", "Best Power Prospect" and "Best Defensive First Baseman" by Baseball America...he hit 3 homers and drove in 8 runs on Aug. 3 at Lynchburg.

1994

Recorded a 19-game hitting streak from April 29-May 20 with Columbus (A).

1993

Spent first professional season at Burlington (A)...hit only one home run in 97 at bats.
