2005

Veteran did not make the club out of Spring Training, but was re-signed and promoted on May 28. ... Hit .305 over a 25-game stretch from June 22-Aug. 30. ... Hit .270 in 34 starts. ... Had an inside-the-park homer on Aug. 29 in San Diego, the fifth in team history.

2004

He and Benito Santiago were lost for the season in the same series at Philadelphia...went on the disabled list June 20 and had surgery on his right elbow...got into just 20 games and batted .305...eligible to become a free agent.

2003

Began season with CIN ... Hit .455 (5-11), 2 2B, 1 HR in first 4 games of season ... Went 2-for-4 with 2nd career grand slam and season-high 4 RBI, 6/11 at TB ... Hit .232 with a career-high 14hr in 88g for Ari...on 4/9 at Atl collided with Ryan Klesko on a plate a the plate and suffered a bruised quadriceps muscle that forced him to miss 10 starts...was able to pinch hit during that time and on 4/13 vs LA hit his only career pinch-hit homer, a 2-run shot in the 16th inning off Dave Mlicki that tied the game and led to a 7-6 Diamondbacks victory...on 7/19 at Sea became the first player to hit 2 homers in a game at Safeco Field...from 5/18-5/21 homered in 3 consecutive games to tie the club record...finished the season with a 6-game hitting streak (.391), including a homer in the division-clinching victory at SF...threw out 21-80 baserunners attempting to steal (.263)...caught every inning in the Division Series vs the Mets...singled in the Game 2 victory, then doubled and scored in Game 3.

1998

Spent most of the season at Class AAA Tucson, where he hit .321 with 10hr and 43rbi in 64g...in a pair of stints with the Brewers hit .250 in 30g...on 7/26 went on the disabled list with a strained left rib cage...didnbt play again until 9/2.

Spent most of the season at Class AAA New Orleans, where he was an American Association All-Star after hitting .287 with 27hr and 70rbi in 95g...was hit by a pitch 13 times to lead the league...ranked fourth in the A.A. in homers...appeared in 14g for the Brewers...began the season at Mil but was optioned to New Orleans on 4/5...was recalled on 6/20 for 4 days but did not appear in a game before he returned to the minors...was recalled again on 8/11 and remained with the Brewers for the rest of the season...began his American League career hitless in his first 16ab before he recorded a hit on 8/30 vs Minbs Rich Robertson...was an American Association All-Star and a Baseball America Class AAA All-Star.

1995

In his second season with the Mets appeared in 77g, including 59 starts...homered in consecutive starts on 5/17 at Hou and 5/21 at Phi.

In his first Major League season hit .253 with 2hr and 14rbi in 47g, including 41 starts...spent the entire season with the Mets after he was selected from the Indians in the Major League phase of the previous Decemberbs Rule 5 Draft...made his Major League debut on 4/5 at Chi and recorded his first career hit, a 2-run double off Shawn Boskie in the third inning...on 5/5 at StL hit his first career homer (off Allen Watson).
