2008

Did not pitch due to a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left elbow.....suffered the injury in a spring training start on 3/17 against the Mariners in Peoria...Was placed on the 15-day disabled list on 3/27 and underwent "Tommy John" surgery on 5/15.....surgery was performed by Dr. James Andrews...Was transferred to the 60-day disabled list on 9/1.

2007

Went 10-11 with a 5.31 ERA in 28 starts at Double-A El Paso...Tied for the Texas League lead with 28 starts.....led the league in runs allowed (109), earned runs allowed (94) and walks (75).....also ranked among the league leaders in strikeouts (T2nd, 167), strikeouts per 9.0 innings (3rd, 9.43) and innings pitched (5th, 159.1)...Was 2-7 with a 7.31 ERA through his first 11 starts of the season.....rebounded to go 8-4 with a 4.21 ERA over his next 17 starts...Struck out a season-high 10 batters over 7.0 innings in a 5-4 loss on 5/7 vs. Arkansas...Tossed back-to-back shutouts on 6/2 at Wichita (7ip) and 6/7 at Tulsa.....were the first complete games and shutouts of his career...Following the season played for the Scottsdale Scorpions of the Arizona Fall League.
