Married...With his wife, established the Dioner Navarro Family Foundation in 2009, which includes as one of its main beneficiaries St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL... In 2003, his wife suffered a brain aneurysm and was given a slim chance to live, but recovered fully at St. Joseph's… Since then, has worn uniform number 30 in recognition of September 30, 2003, the day the doctors said she was expected to pass away… Is a natural right-handed batter, but started switch-hitting at age 13.
