On June 8 vs. TEX returned to the majors making his 1st appearance since September 26, 2011 at CWS. Did not allow an earned run on the road over the 13.0 innings pitched. Surrendered a home run in two of his first four games…Did not allow another over the following 21 contests (22.1 IP). Recorded 14 strikeouts over 10.1 IP from June 23-July 19, a span of nine games. Placed on the 15-day DL on August 1 with a strained right oblique … Returned from his medical rehab assignment with Dunedin on September 1. The 25 appearances were his most since 2007.
2012
On March 26 signed a two year contract extension with the Blue Jays...Spent the enitre 2012 season on the disabled list... Has spent the enitre year on the disabled list in three of his last four
seasons...Was placed on the 15-day disabled list on April 3 with plantar fasciitis of his right foot... Was later transferred to the 60-day

of 2-0 with a 4.06 ERA while striking our 29 batters in 31.0 innings
of work... Was placed on the disabled list May 13 and
missed the remainder of the season... Underwent reconstructive
elbow surgery on May 13, otherwise known as
"Tommy John" surgery... The operation was performed by
Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Alabama

Split the season between Dunedin of the Florida State League (A) and New Haven of the Eastern League (AA)... Combined to go 12-6 with a 3.01 ERA in 28 starts... May 21 pitched a complete game shutout (7.0) at Palm Beach in game 1 of a doubleheader... Was promoted to New Haven June 13... Made his debut with the Ravens on June 16 and
pitched 6.0 innings of one-hit shutout ball for a 4-1 win vs.
Binghamton Mets... Was a perfect 7-0 with a 3.17 ERA,
while the Ravens were a perfect 14-0 in his starts.

Finished first in the league and in the organization with 163 strikeouts... Earned his first win of the season after striking out 11 batters over five innings of two-hit ball in a 9-3
