He spent time with the Angels in three different stints. His first career RBI was a game-winning single in the 10th inning against the Royals on July 22 in his first start. Willits scored the winning run in two Angels walk-off victories over a five-game span (Aug. 20 against the Mariners and Aug. 25 against the Yankees). He made his Major League debut on April 26 against the Tigers, appearing as a pinch-runner. Willits hit .267 with 12 runs scored and two RBIs in 28 games with the Angels. He was named to the Pacific Coast League All-Star team. Willits led Triple-A Salt Lake with 85 runs scored and 77 walks and batted .327 with 31 stolen bases in 97 games with the Bees in 2006.
2005
In first campaign at Double-A Arkansas batted a club-high .304 (eighth in the league) and tied for fourth in the league with 40 stolen bases ... Marked second straight season with 40-plus steals ... Batted .384 (33/86) in April and earned Texas League Player of Week honors (April 7-17) after posting seven multihit games (with two 4-hit efforts) ... Registered 42 multihit games on the season ... Stole three bases in a game twice in a week's span (Aug. 8 at Midland and Aug. 15 vs. Midland) ... Played all three outfield positions and was named a Texas League All-Star Game selection ... Committed just four errors in 120 games in outfield.

Played at single-A Rancho Cucamonga...Among league leaders, was 5th in walks (73), 2nd in stolen bases (44), 4th in runs (99) and 3rd in games (135)...Struck out 112 times in 135 games.
