Scott Daniel Richmond... Married... Played collegiate baseball at Oklahoma State... Was named to the 2008 Canadian Olympic Baseball Team... Was a member of Canada's World Baseball Classic entry in 2009, however, did not appear in a game.

2011

Pitched to one batter for the Blue Jays in 2012 retiring the only batter he faced at LAA on April 10... A SEASON IN VEGAS: Spent most of the season in the Las Vegas rotation, appearing 26 games (20 starts)... Recorded only two quality outings in his 20 starts... Posted a 7.84 ERA as a starter... BETTER DAYS IN 'PEN: Finished the season in the 51s bullpen making six releif appearances, posting a 1.86 ERA over 9.2 innings.

2010

Made nine appearances (eight starts), all in the minors after rehabbing a shoulder impingement that recurred in the spring... Combined to go 4-1 in those games with a 1.98 ERA, allowing only 29 hits in 41 innings... Returned to the hill June 10 and made five appearances for Dunedin (A), before moving to New Hampshire (AA)... Made two starts at New Hampshire and two at Las Vegas (AAA) to conclude regular season... Returned to New Hampshire for the postseason, taking the loss in his only start on Sept. 18, despite tossing seven innings and allowing only three runs.

2009

In his first full season appeared in 27 games, making 24 starts... STARTING STRONG: Started the season with a 4-0 record, and was the first Blue Jays rookie pitcher to do so since Gustavo Chacin in 2005... Won A.L. Rookie of the Month for April going 3-0 with a 2.70 ERA in 4 starts (23.1IP, 20H, 7ER, 10BB, 20K)... In fact went his first 10 starts of his career without giving up more than 3ER, five in 2008 & five in 2009... BICEPS BREAKDOWN: Was placed on the DL July 5 with biceps tendonitis... Had posted a 6-5 record with a 3.69 ERA... Upon his return was 2-6 with an 8.44 ERA... BIG SPLITS: Left-handed hitters batted .292 as opposed to .233 vs. right-handed hitters... In his career lefties are now hitting .313, while righties are .214... PROVIDING SOME RELIEF: Made his first relief appearance of his career May 31 vs. Boston, pitching two scoreless innings... Made three relief appearances in total... DOMINATING: Fanned 10 or more on two occasions, with a career high 11 strikeout performance June 17 at PHI... Recorded his 1st complete game of the season, May 8 at OAK in a 5-3 loss... AROUND THE ZONE: Did not walk more than three batters until June 30, a span of 21 games in his career... Was 5th in the AL, in having opponents swing at the first pitch 30.7% of the time... WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC: Was on Team Canada's roster for the Classic however did not participate.

2008

Made his ML Debut on July 30 vs. TB... Took the loss, going 5.1 innings allowing three runs in a 3-2 loss...Became the 14th Canadian to appear in a Blue Jays uniform and the 6th Canadian pitcher... Became just the 2nd Canadian-born pircher to make his debut as a starter for the Blue Jays...In his final start, defeated BAL, Sept. 26 by a 3-0 score to pick up his first major league win... Did not allow a run in six innings of work... Until his final start, had allowed three runs in each of his four previous starts...Held RH hitters to a .128 avg. (6-47), although LH hitters batted .426 (26-61)...The Blue Jays were shutout in two of his five starts and averaged just 1.8 runs per game in his starts... Team record was 2-3 in his starts and tossed one quality start...Made eight starts for Syracuse (AAA) of the International League, posting a 1-3 record with a 3.56 ERA... Opponents have batted only .244 (44-180)... Made 16 starts at New Hampshire (AA) of the Eastern League, going 5-8, with a 4.92 ERA... Held opponents to a .251 avg. (89-355)... .Helped Team Canada earn a spot in the 2008 Olympics... Was 2-0 with a 1.35 ERA in the Final Olympic Qualification Tournament, getting a win in a 15-10 slugfest over Mexico and throwing four scoreless frames against a strong South Korean national team... T-1st for the tournament lead in wins.

2007

Pitched for the Edmonton Cracker Cats of the Independent Golden Baseball League... Pitched exclusively as a starter for the first time, where he had a 10-9 record with a 4.26 record... The rest of the staff was just 28-49 as Richmond led in wins. He was 10th in the Northern League in ERA... Joined Team Canada for the Baseball World Cup... Was 0-2 with a 9.39 ERA, taking two of Canada's 3 losses.

2006

Was 3-7 with 8 saves and a 3.03 ERA in Edmonton (Independent League), striking out 72 while walking only 17 in 71 1/3 innings and allowing just 53 hits... .He led Edmonton in ERA; had he qualified, he would have ranked 4th in the Northern League... Pitched out of the bullpen, except for his debut of the season, his only start, 5/22 (7.1IP, 9H, 6ER, BB, K)... Held opponents to a .191 avg. out of the bullpen (44-230)... RH hitters were held to a .176 mark (30-170).

2005

In his first season with the Edmonton Crackers Cats (Independent) pitched to a 1-4 record with a 6.25 ERA in 20 appearances (seven starts)... Made his first start 7/25, going three scoreless inning, allowing only one hit... As a starter was 1-2 with a 7.41 ERA... Out of the bullpen recorded a 0-2 record with four saves and a 4.68 ERA.
