James Connor (Connor) Robertson graduated from Central High School (AL) in 2000...Graduated from Birmingham Southern College in 2004 with a degree in business administration...Finished his career as the school's career leader in home runs (60) and RBI (239)...As a senior, tied a school record with nine saves and hit 21 home runs, the second-most in school history...His younger brother, David Robertson, is a relief pitcher in the New York Yankees organization.

Made his season debut on July 1st vs. Milwaukee after being recalled that day from Tucson (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League... Allowed a run in a season-best 3.0 innings...Optioned to Tucson on July 4th... Recalled July 6th and made seven more appearances before being optioned to Tucson on July 22nd...Tied a career-high with seven wins and struck out better than a hitter an inning with Tucson...Was undefeated (4-0) in April.

Made his Major League debut with Oakland in May and posted an 18.00 ERA in three relief appearances before breaking his thumb...allowed four runs in 2.0 innings and opponents were 6 for 11 (.545)...allowed his only inherited runner to score and first batters faced were 1 for 2 with a walk...was selected from Triple-A Sacramento on May 15 when Huston Street went on the disabled list and made his ML debut on May 17 against Kansas City (1.2 ip, 3 h, 1 r, 1 er, 1 bb, 2 so)...also allowed one run without recording an out on May 20 against San Francisco and yielded two runs in 0.1 innings on May 21 at Chicago...fractured his right thumb in his outing against the White Sox and was placed on the 15-day DL on May 25 retroactive to May 22...made one rehab appearance with the A's affiliate in the Arizona Rookie League on July 11 (1.0 ip, 2 so) and two with Sacramento from July 13 to 15 (1.0 ip, 3 h, 3 r, 3 er, 1 bb, 2 so) before he was reinstated from the disabled list and optioned to Sacramento on July 16...was 4-1 with two saves, three blown saves and a 4.35 ERA in 31 relief appearances overall with the River Cats...struck out 40 batters in 39.1 innings, but also issued 21 walks...opponents hit .283, which included a .247 (23 for 93) mark by right-handed hitters and .339 (20 for 59) by left-handers...allowed three home runs, all by right-handers...his opponents average increased to .354 with runners in scoring position...was 4-0 with two saves, a 1.93 ERA and a .194 opponents batting average in 15 outings before he was promoted to Oakland in mid-May...then went 0-1 with a 6.53 ERA and .353 opponents batting average in 16 outings after his stint with the A's...had a 0.73 ERA in the eighth inning and a 6.00 ERA in all other innings...pitched one or more innings in 28 of his 31 outings...allowed 7 of 17 (41.2%) inherited runners to score...allowed four runs in his first two outings (2.0 ip) and then went 14 consecutive appearances without allowing an earned run from April 7 to July 13 (17.2 ip, 10 h, 4 r, 7 bb, 18 so)...tossed a season high 2.2 scoreless innings on April 13 at Tacoma and picked up his first win of the season...all four of his wins and both of his saves came over a 12-game span from April 13 to May 12...did not allow a run in 13 of his 16 outings through July 13 but then allowed at least one run in seven of his final 15 outings...struck out a season high three batters in consecutive outings on August 5 and 7 against Oklahoma and matched that on August 17 at Portland...allowed a season high four runs in 1.1 innings in his final outing on September 1 at Tucson...was placed on the seven-day disabled list on September 5 with a strained left calf and did not pitch for Sacramento during the postseason.
