Rookie reliever spent over three months in the Major Leagues from April 22-Aug. 6, the first Major League action of his career...went to Major League Spring Training for the first time in his career and made two appearances (2ER/2.2IP) before being reassigned to minor league camp on March 12...broke camp as a piggy-back starter with Triple A Oklahoma City and made three appearances, going 1-1 with a 9.35 ERA (9ER/8.2IP)...fared much better in his relief appearances, posting a 1.50 ERA (1ER/6IP) ... recalled by Houston on April 22 and would go on to post a 2-2 record and a 4.12 ERA (20ER/43.2IP) across 28 appearances for the Astros before being optioned back to OKC on Aug. 6...worked in long relief for Houston thru his first 11 appearances with 10 of those 11 being 2.0+ innings (thru June 6) ... made his MLB debut on April 22 vs. Seattle and tossed 3.2 scoreless innings ... had great success as a long reliever (1-0, 2.67 ERA, 8ER/27IP) and eventually worked his way into setup situations...from June 14 to the date of his option made 17 appearances with a 6.48 ERA (12ER/16.2IP) with only three of those 17 apps. being longer than 1.0 inning... pitched in 10 consecutive games, from May 18-June 26, without allowing an earned run (19.1IP)...after his option, made nine appearances at OKC, posting an 8.00 ERA (8ER/9IP)...pitched for the Gigantes del Cibao in the Dominican Winter League and made six appearances, posting a 4.91 ERA (2ER/3.2IP).
