2014

Made 11 starts in his second season with Boston and went 5-3 with a 5.03 ERA (33 ER in 59.0 IP) and 36 strikeouts... Was 5-0 in starts yielding three earned runs or less, posting a 3.19 ERA (17 ER in 48.0 IP) in 8 such outings... In his final four starts from Sept. 5-25, went 2-0 with a 2.63 ERA (seven ER in 24.0 IP), including a career-high 7.0 innings in his last start of the season on Sept. 25 vs. Rays (1 ER)... Made ML debut in a start on 4/21 vs. KC (GM 2)...Was added to the Sox roster as the 26th man for the DH at Fenway Park (ND, 6.0 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 2 ER, BB, 5 SO). Earned 1st ML win on 7/4 vs. SD (6.0 IP, 5 H, 2 ER, 4 BB, 4 SO). Each of first 6 appearances for the Red Sox were starts. Recalled for final time on 9/8 and spent the remainder of the season with BOS...Made only relief appearance on 9/15 vs. NYY (1 R/ER, 1.0 IP). Posted a 3.36 ERA (22 ER/59.0 IP) and recorded 62 strikeouts in relief...His 9.46 strikeout per 9.0 IP rate out of the bullpen ranked 3rd among International League relievers. Led the PawSox in outings and relief innings...Tied for the International League lead with 3 balks. Collected 1st save on 7/2 vs. Rochester. Struck out 5 in 4.2 perfect innings over 4 playoff games en route to Pawtucket winning the Governors' Cup championship...Tied for 1st among IL playoff leaders in appearances with teammate Jose De La Torre. Entered the season as the No. 11 prospect in the Red Sox system, No. 3 pitcher, according to Baseball America...Also chosen by the publication as having the system's best fastball and best slider.

2012

Posted a 3.86 ERA (56 ER/130.2 IP) in 29 outings (24 starts) between LAD's Double-A Chattanooga and Double-A Portland. Tied for 10th among Double-A hurlers with 129 strikeouts. Allowed just 2 homers in 130.2 innings for a rate of only 0.14 home runs per 9.0 IP...Had the 5th-best ground out-to-fly out ratio among Double-A qualifiers. Ranked 2nd among qualifying full-season Dodgers minor leaguers with a 3.55 ERA (48 ER/121.2 IP) in 27 outings (22 starts) to begin the year, the 7th-best mark among Southern League qualifiers. Ranked 3rd among Southern Leaguers with 8.5 strikeouts per 9.0 IP as a starter (107 K/113.2 IP) prior to the trade. Had a 7.49 ERA (28 ER/33.2 IP) over his 1st 7 starts of the season through 5/9...Moved to the bullpen for 5 appearances from 5/15-27 and posted a 1.13 ERA (1 ER/8.0 IP) before returning to the rotation for the remainder of the season. Combined to go 11-5 with a 4.03 ERA (65 ER/145.0 IP) in 27 games (26 starts) with High-A Rancho Cucamonga and Double-A Chattanooga. Tossed 1st complete game shutout of his career on 7/28 vs. Jacksonville, allowing 7 hits and striking out 7. With the Quakes, limited opposing hitters to a .228 AVG (46-for-202) with 62 strikeouts in just 54.0 innings before his 5/24 promotion. Selected as California League Pitcher of the Week for 4/25-5/1. Finished the year as the No. 2 prospect in the Dodgers' system and the 95th-best overall prospect by Baseball America...Also judged as having the best change-up among Dodgers farmhands.

2010

2010: Ranked 3rd in the Single-A Midwest League with a 2.88 ERA in 26 games (23 starts) for Great Lakes. Named a mid-season Midwest League All-Star. Limited opponents to a .239 clip (119-for-497) and held right-handed hitters to a .227 mark (68-for-299). Went 6-4 with a 2.64 ERA (19 ER/64.2 IP) in his last 13 starts of the season beginning 6/28, including a 3-1 record with a 1.66 ERA (4 ER/21.2 IP) in 5 July starts. Following the season, was ranked by Baseball America as the No. 5 pitcher in the Dodgers farm system and the 11th-best prospect in the Midwest League...Also had the best change-up in the Dodgers system.

2009

Tied for the Dodgers' organizational lead among short-season minor leaguers with 77 combined strikeouts between Rookie-level Arizona League and Rookie-level Ogden. Began the season with the AZL Dodgers before being transferred to Ogden on 8/19. Limited opponents to a .222 AVG (58-for-261) and just 1 home run in 68.2 combined innings. Ranked 3rd among AZL qualifiers in ERA (2.08), WHIP (1.03), and opponent AVG (.197) over 12 tilts (8 starts). Named August/September Pitcher of the Month for the AZL Dodgers, posting a 1.62 ERA (3 ER/16.2 IP) in 4 games (3 starts) with the club. Following the season, was ranked by Baseball America as the No. 3 prospect in the Arizona League and the Dodgers' No. 10 prospect (No. 6 pitcher).

2008

Appeared in 12 games, all in relief, for the Rookie-level Gulf Coast League Dodgers in his pro debut. Gave up 12 hits over 18.1 innings for a .197 opponent AVG (12-for-61). Did not allow a run in his last 4 outings (5.1 IP), lowering his ERA from 4.85 to 3.44. Won his pro debut with a scoreless 5th inning on 6/27 at the GCL Marlins. Converted his only save chance on 7/6 at the GCL Nationals (2.0 IP).
