In his first season with the Red Sox organization, missed 134 games over three stints on the IL: 41 games from 3/27-5/15 (right oblique strain), 34 games from 6/1-7/8 (left shoulder inflammation) and 59 games from 7/29 through the end of season (right hip inflammation).

Set career highs in appearances (55), innings pitched (50.1), and strikeouts (57) for the Mets. Attended Spring Training with the Yankees after signing with the club as a free agent in November 2021... Traded to the Mets on 4/3 and spent the remainder of the season with them. Allowed an average exit velocity of 85.3 MPH, the best rate of his career. 37 of his 55 appearances were scoreless (67.3%). Led Mets LHP in appearances, tied for 12th most among NL lefties. Limited RHH to a .220 AVG/.625 OPS and LHH to a .233 AVG/.646 OPS. In 28 home outings, posted a 3.49 ERA (11 ER/28.1 IP). Allowed 5 ER in his first four outings before posting a 0.79 ERA (1 ER/11.1 IP) in his next 14 (4/19-5/27). In his 1st season with the Rangers, posted no record with a 2.13 ERA and 1.026 WHIP figure while making just 12 relief appearances due to a pair of injuries¡proved effective when healthy, averaging 12.08 SO/9 while allowing no home runs, as opponents slashed just .174/.255/.239/.494 (8-46) with only 3 XBH (all 2B)¡his 17 K¡¯s ranked T5th-most among TEX relievers¡marked 1st MLB action since 2017, as he pitched in Japan in 2018-19.

Served in a setup relief role in only full season with Chunichi…his 1.64 ERA (11 ER/60.1 IP) was lowest among all NPB pitchers with at least 60.0 IP and also ranked among NPB leaders in strikeouts per 9.0 IP (3rd, 11.49), strikeout to walk ratio (3rd, 5.50), and opponent batting average (4th, .194)… led the Central League with 41 holds (2nd overall in NPB) and was among the CL leaders in appearances (8th, 64) and relief innings (10th, 60.1)…issued runs in 10 of 64 games and permitted just 3 home runs. Had a 0.79 ERA (3 ER/34.1 IP) over his last 37 outings beginning 6/11, allowing runs just 3 times…pitched 14.1 scoreless innings in his final 15 appearances starting 8/11…opponent splits: .153/.209/.176 vs. LHB and .221/.282/.313 vs. RHB…was 2-0, 0.61 (2 ER/29.1 IP) in 30 home games…earned only save, 8/11 at Yokohama as Chunichi had 3 relievers with at least 8 saves: Hiroshi Suzuki (14), Toshiya Okada (13), and Raidel Martinez (8)…did not pitch more than 1.0 IP all season.

Was signed by BAL to a minor league contract on 11/28/17 and invited to Orioles MLB spring training camp… was 5-3, 4.56 in 33 games/1 start at Norfolk (AAA) with 52 strikeouts in 49.1 IP…lone start was a ND on 6/26 vs. Gwinnett…was released on 7/17 in order to sign with Chunichi Dragons…joined Chunichi on 7/29 and was 0-3, 2.30 with 9 holds in 26 relief appearances the rest of the season...posted a 0.87 ERA (2 ER/20.2 IP) in his final 17 games beginning 9/2… allowed runs 8 times.
2017
Began the season with Philadelphia and appeared in 26 games with the Major League club ... Earned his first Major League win on 4/23 vs. ATL after tossing 0.2 innings of relief, recording one strikeout...Did not allow a run in nine-straight appearances from 4/16-5/1 (8.0 IP) with Philadelphia ... Tossed a season-high 2.2 innings on 5/4 at CHC, but suffered the loss ... Made 22 appearances with Triple-A Round Rock...Recorded a season-high five strikeouts in his win on 6/23 vs. Iowa ...
