Full name is Nicholas Gunnar Goody…after two years at the State College of Florida in Bradenton, transferred to LSU for one season, going 1-2 with 11 saves, a 2.67 ERA (33.2IP, 10ER), 45K and just 4BB in 35 relief appearances as a junior.

2020

 Went 0-2 with one save and a 9.00 ERA (11.0IP, 11ER) in 17 games (one start) for Texas… was placed on the 10-day injured list with back spasms from 8/12-25…made his first career start as an “opener” in Game 1 on 9/12 vs. Oakland, tossing 1.0 perfect inning (1K)…was designated for assignment on 9/24 and elected free agency on 9/28

2019

Was recalled from Columbus (AAA) on 6/5 and went 3-2, 3.54 in 39 relief appearances with CLE the rest of the season…ranked 4th on the staff in holds (10) and T6th in games and set career best for wins (3)…recorded 50 strikeouts in 40.2 innings and held opponents to a .201/.301/.389/.690 batting line…opponent batting average splits were .188 vs. RHB and .226 vs. LHB…issued runs 10 times with 15 of 39 first batters reaching base…allowed 9 of 19 inherited runners to score… was designated for assignment by the Indians 11/20 and placed on unconditional release waivers on 11/22.

2018

Season was limited to just 12 appearances due to a right elbow injury suffered in early May and did not pitch after May 3...Season got off to a strong start, allowing just one run (ER) over his first eight appearances, covering 8.0 innings...Allowed runs over each of his last four appearances (8R-ER/3.2IP) and was removed from his final appearance of May 3 vs. Toronto (game 1) after four batters and 12 pitches with a right elbow hyperextension/bone spurs...Progressed to throwing bullpens and live batting practice in Cleveland before transferring his rehab to Goodyear, AZ in early August ...Was shutdown on August 20 due to continued soreness in the elbow...For the year allowed runs in 5 of his 12 outings, striking out 12 over 11.2 innings...Allowed all four homers on the season over his last four outings, April 26-May 3 (3.2IP)...Batters hit just .167 (5-for-30) off him with runners on and .188 (3-for-16) with RISP...Underwent right elbow arthroscopic debridement on August 31 in Dallas, TX (Dr. Keith Meister)...Meister performed a debridement of elbow and removed a small bone spur...Expected to be ready for the 2019 season.

2017

Spent virtually the entire season in the Indians bullpen and provided steady relief through the middle innings on his way to a season ERA of 2.80 (20th-lowest relief ERA in the A.L.)...His .198 average against (39/197) was the 13th-lowest relief batting average against in the American League...Started the year off in AAA Columbus after a strong spring (0.90 ERA), recording three scoreless outings for the Clippers over 4.1 IP, fanning 10 of 17 batters faced while right-handed hitters were 0-for-8...Recalled to Cleveland on April 14 and spent the remainder of the season at the Major League level...Did not allow an earned run over his first 17 games with Cleveland, covering 20.1IP (9H, 1R/0ER, 5BB, 22SO, .134 avg)...On the year posted 42 scoreless outings in 56 appearances...Struck out 11.9 batters per 9.0IP...Batters hit .218 (19/87) with runners on base against him and were 11-for-75 (.147) when behind in the count...His ERA from July 5 thru the end of the season was 5.09 (23.0IP, 19H, 13ER) over 27 games...ERA from August 17-on was 2.70 (13.1IP, 8H, 4ER) over his final 16 appearances...Had 11 outings of at least 1.1 IP. Split the season between AAA Scranton and the Major Leagues with the Yankees, posting a 4.66 ERA (29.0IP, 15ER) without recording a decision in 27 relief appearances over four stints(4/22-6/26, 7/9-21, 8/1-11 and 9/2-10/2)….Retired 17-of-27 first batters faced (62.9%) and allowed 11-of-24 inherited runners to score (45.8%)...Tossed a career-high 3.1 scoreless innings (1H, 3K) in 5/13 loss vs. Chicago-AL, retiring 10-of-11 batters faced...Made his final appearance of the season in 9/2 loss at Baltimore, allowing 2ER in 1.1IP (2HR)...Was dominant at AAA, did not allow multiple runs in any of his 18 outings and limited hitters to a .146 (12-82) average against with 5 extra base hits and 35 strikeouts in 23.1 IP (13.0 SO per 9.0IP)...Batters hit .100 (2-20) off him with runners on base...Went at least 1.0IP in all of his Triple-A games.

Made two appearances with Single-A Tampa, going 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA (3.0IP, 1ER)...Was placed on the minor league disabled list on 4/10 and missed the remainder of the season...underwent "Tommy John" surgery on 4/16.

Made his professional debut, combining to go 1-2 with seven saves and a 1.13 ERA (32.0IP, 20H, 4ER, 52K) in 23 relief appearances with short-season Single-A Staten Island, Single-A Charleston and Single-A Tampa...Began his season with Staten Island (3G, 3.1IP, 0R, 5K)...was transferred to Charleston on 6/29, going 1-2 with six saves, a 1.09 ERA (24.2IP, 3ER) and 40K in 17 relief appearances...was transferred to Single-A Tampa on 8/23 and posted a 2.25 ERA in three games (4.0IP, 1ER).
